Sheraton Denver West Hotel

"The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Very quiet with a good view to Downtown Denver. The pool area is a must go to. Room service is excellent. The location can be easily accessed with public transportation."

"Enjoyed my stay, despite a myriad of issues – many outside their control. I sat at the bar for dinner one night, and the meal was so big that it actually was dinner that night, as well as having enough leftovers for lunch for the next two days . A snowstorm caused staff to arrive late one morning, resulting in breakfast being a late and hurried start of our day. A malfunctioning elevator meant we had to use the service elevator to get to our rooms because every time you press the elevator button, the (malfunctioning) elevator doors would open, but couldn’t take you where you needed to go. Overall though, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and extremely apologetic for the inconveniences. Little challenges are part of life and staff there did everything they could to smooth out the bumps along the way."

"The location was great for us because it is close to the hospital. The rooms are very old. The latch to lock the door from the inside was broken. The lever in the shower to change water from tub to shower was stuck on shower. Our bed was made every day, but they never gave us clean glasses. The walls are paper thin, you can pretty much hear everything going on on the whole floor and outside. Also we were on a floor that was not supposed to have dogs, but we could hear dogs barking all the time and staff did nothing about it. It was inexpensive and convenient, but I would not stay here again. Also, the lobby has such an overpowering perfume smell! It was so strong we tried to hold our breath when going through the lobby."

"The hotel is in a good location. Inside, it is dimly lit and kind of dirty. I came in around 7 pm, but the front desks were empty and I had to wait around for ten minutes before someone popped out. The bedding was clean, but the headboards looked awful - made of the glued leather that was disintegrating right above your face. Air vents absolutely filthy. No coffee / pastry options on the lobby, you have to go into the sit down restaurant and wait for service (very slow and expensive option). I made coffee using the maker in the hotel room (make sure you rinse it out to get rid of insects), but didn’t get to see if the coffee was stale as hotel room coffee usually is, since the creamer turned out to be congealing into chunks. Not a great place to stay at all."
