"We really enjoyed our stay here. This was only our second time at a B and B and we really enjoyed it. The location is great. About halfway between town and the slopes which was perfect for us. The property is great. Nice patio, big deck with chairs facing the mountains and only about 100 yards from the river so you could enjoy the sound, a few other sitting areas out on the grass, a hot tub with a walkway and solar lights going to it that we used every night after skiing. Decent amount of parking and fairly easy to find after our first time. Nice inside. A lot of antiques and nice rooms. Downstairs living room with couches, a big fireplace, TV and refrigerator. Piano and a few guitars if you play. Comfortable bed which is very important to me. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Nice continental breakfast with fresh eggs straight from the coop. We had 8 deer walk right past us while we were out back and 10-12 at the top of the driveway."

"My partner & I loved staying at Country Sunshine. We stayed here for a few nights to ski at Purgatory (15 min drive). It sits perfectly in nature but still very close to downtown Durango. Walter & Jody were great hosts. We loved chatting with Walter in the morning over breakfast and delicious coffee. Thank you for making our stay in Durango special."

"Jodi and Walter were so sweet and friendly. The moment we walked in, Jodi welcomed us right in and gave us a tour. She took her time with us and had this calming presence to her. They made you feel super comfortable and the B&B was more than what I was expecting. The grounds were gorgeous with a huge yard. We were fortunate to land the Golden Oak room which was quiet and away from all the other rooms. Additionally this room had views of gorgeous backyard with deer and turkeys in the early morning. Everything was clean and cozy. Breakfast was plenty. Thank you J&W! I will be returning!!"
