"One of the best experiences that we have had with Holiday Inn Express. All the staff members were extremely nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed staying in the riverside room. The view was beautiful, especially when it was snowing. A special shout out to Jake and Liz for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable!"

"Great hotel! The rooms are clean and comfortable! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and even has gluten free items. Thanks for that! The garage parking is a bonus especially in the winter. The only issue is there needs to be a closer crosswalk to be able to walk into town. The road is busy and there are no sidewalks, so walking down the street with a child is a little difficult. That would be my only complaint. Update…. Returned for another visit and was not as good as last time. The room was clean, but very loud and hard to sleep. The indoor pool was open, but not heated and my little lips turned blue after only being in it for a few minutes. Close the pool of you are not going to heat it as advertised. The gym had no cleaning clothes and the hand sanitizer was out as well. So there was no way to disinfect anything. It was not worth the price!"

"One of the better Hotels we have stayed at. Serpent 3 days here exploring and taking the train. Our room had an amazing balcony view looking out over the river and for hotel breakfast was top notch. Normally hotel food is pretty gross but not here definitely worth having breakfast before you start your day. Excellent walking distance from all kinds of things like shopping and dining out. Definitely will be making this a stopping point when passing through."

"We stayed here during a cross country road trip, and we’re so glad we did! The hotel staff were so nice, personable, and accommodating! They were kind enough to give us an early check-in, and they made it hassle-free for us to check-in with our two dogs. Our room was spacious and clean, and parking was in a covered garage only accessible with your room key. Lastly, what sold us on this hotel was the river walk right behind the hotel. This was ideal for us with the dogs; it made exercise and late/early potty breaks a breeze. We would definitely stay here if we pass through Durango again!"

"Since it first opened, we have been directing family and friends to stay at Durango HIE when they are visiting us in town. The staff is so friendly, the place is impeccably clean, the breakfast is wholesome, the downtown location is perfect and the parking is covered. My parents were staying here when my father experienced a medical incident and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. The front desk staff acted with urgency, compassion and common sense, making the situation much better for both parents. The fact that these employees felt empowered to make spontaneous independent decisions to help my parents speaks also to the management’s hiring and the environment that they foster. Thank you so much for the hospitality that you provide. I’ll be forever thankful that my parents had your staff to help them in those frightening moments."
