Park View Villas 1800 Idlewild Drive, Reno, NV 89509

"This is what happened. I moved into park view villas and was promptly disappointed by the pet odor smell left by the previous tenant that the "property manager" did not address. Because we had already signed a lease and the location I went ahead and did the repairs myself, this meant two weeks of nasty drywall repair and removal of urine soaked insulation., I also had to pull up the carpets and clean the concrete. The cabinets were so rotted I had to sand them down and gut the kitchen area. The neighbors eventually became hostile and there were several instances of drug overdose and this really stupid situation with hornets nests on the property that nobody would address. I tolerated this because the location is good, however upon moving out the landlord decided to keep my whole deposit even though I had given her weeks of quality skilled labor and left the apartment in much better condition than I had found it. I am a disabled veteran and my deposit money was a grant from the veterans affairs, this is highly unethical to absorb my deposit like that. Do not rent at this location if you have any class whatsoever. It is an old building charging market rates with zero improvements. Eventually the "property manager" just stopped returning my calls. There were conflicts with the neighbors, the trash truck comes at 5:30 on Saturday morning and all the traffic from the constant events at the park. Terrible place to live in my opinion and After they stole my deposit I think it is justified to label the owner as a slumlord. Detached and out of touch only worried about her income."

"I absolutely love living here with my 3 kiddos because we are so close to the park and river. I'm truly going to miss being so close to such a beautiful place once we find our house in Fernley. Yes you don't get to choose your neighbors or how often they smoke, but overall I love it here."

"Very Unprofessional. Maintenance man came into our apt on Drugs. Took apart our refrigerator and couldn’t put it back together because he was so strung out , causing our food to spoil. Property managers constantly harass any Guests who come onto property. nothing gets fixed so the apartments are very run down. If you have address any issues with managers or maintenance man they become retaliatory against you. Also “property manager” by the name of Ira has made open threats in front of owner toward us."

"Trashy appearance, they never fix a damn thing, they don't care if carpenter ants are running around in the apts and they refuse to spray. The apts are cold in the winter because the windows are so old you can feel the air rushing in. The owner doesn't want to spend money on fixing anything at all. They rent to alot of unsavory characters. I wouldn't recommend it at all........."
