"I am so disgusted having stayed here. The front desk person was very nice and at first glance the room looked clean. Unfortunately, the lighting was bad and the bathroom light was not working. We thought no big deal as we were going to bed anyway and had arrive late. However, I crawled into bed and noticed a red spot on the top sheets, so I pulled back covers and more brownish red spots. My sister immediately pulled back her covers and discovered a lot of long black hairs, disgusting as she is a blond. We decided to then inspect the bathroom (that I had already used, yuck), Found brown feces on toilet seat. This is so disgusting and a very bad prior desk or they just never clean the seats and sheets. We had the front desk bring us fresh sheets and changed them ourselves as we did not trust anyone to clean it. They claimed that they were booked upon check in so did not ask for a room change and decided cleaning it ourselves was the best option. We cancelled the 2nd night and they gave us a very small discount which we did not ask for. Our concern was the cleanliness. I am a Hilton Honors participant and have never had such a poor experience. I will never stay in a Hampton again. I also failed to check other review sites as they are very low on Yelp and lot of similar cleanliness issues."
"Zero customer service. Pool is disgusting. Green and blue. Poorly maintained. Broken shower head and the tub drain was broken. Crib (pack and play) was broken and dirty. I would avoid this hotel."
"My husband has a broken wrist and we were traveling with two toddlers. Came to Reno for his pre op for surgery. He desperately asked the front desk girl if we could PLEASE have a room on the bottom floor. Her response was along the lines of ummmm we’ve already made a reservation for this room on the FOURTH floor. Both of my toddlers are terrified of the elevator. When he said fine where are the stairs located, she had the nerve to ask why. We stay at a lot of Hamptons and have never been treated so poorly. We’ve never been refused to switch floors unless they were completely booked out. Room itself was subpar. Not very clean. Urine all around the bottom of the toilet. Dusty. Just dingy all the way around. Beds were not comfortable like other Hamptons. But I’d be able to kind of forgive that if the front desk girl could’ve god forbid accommodated us just a little seeing my husband in a cast. Would not recommend this particular location to anyone."
"I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Hampton Inn, and unfortunately, it was far from the pleasant stay I had anticipated. Instead of waking up to a refreshing morning, I woke up to a nightmare when I discovered bedbugs infesting my bed. This incident left me with no choice but to share my disappointing review of my stay. Upon arrival, the hotel seemed well-maintained and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and efficient during the check-in process. I had high hopes for a comfortable stay but was quickly let down when I found myself sharing my bed with unwanted guests. The room itself appeared clean and well-kept at first glance. However, as I settled in for the night, I noticed small, crawling insects on my bed. Shocked and disgusted, I immediately realized that I was dealing with a bedbug infestation. It was a distressing experience, to say the least. I immediately contacted the front desk to inform them of the situation. The staff seemed apologetic and promptly offered to move me to another room. However, the damage was already done, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of anxiety and discomfort. It was a nightmarish experience that left me deeply unsatisfied with my stay. Aside from the bedbug incident, I found other aspects of my stay to be subpar. The amenities provided were average at best, and the room lacked proper soundproofing, as I could hear noises from neighboring rooms and the hallway throughout the night. Moreover, the cleanliness of the hotel overall left much to be desired. Though the common areas appeared tidy, I noticed dusty corners and stained carpets, which indicated a lack of attention to detail in housekeeping. Unfortunately, the presence of bedbugs overshadowed any positive aspects of my stay, leaving me with an overall negative impression of the Hampton Inn. The inconvenience, discomfort, and sheer disgust caused by the bedbug infestation were unacceptable and certainly not what I expected from a reputable hotel chain. In conclusion, my experience at the Hampton Inn was marred by the presence of bedbugs, which not only ruined my stay but also left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. I hope that the management takes immediate action to address this issue and prevent similar incidents in the future."
"The stay was great. Breakfast was good and very much appreciated. However, the rooms are a little outdated, including shower. A little pricey for the room you get. Our view was a tall pine tree and the highway."
