"BEWARE - Poor quality equipment and installation. Lack of Integrity and Professionalism. I have waited months to write this review in hopes that I would be pleasantly surprised by something with this new system or any kind of follow through from Elite Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. I purchased 2 supposedly brand new TRANE 14 Seer rooftop units at the end of May 2023. I did so to replace the two units I had that were still working fine but had trouble keeping up with the Las Vegas heat in summer 2022, and had resulted in my energy bills skyrocketing. I will say that Elite has a great sales pitch and I fell for it hook, line and sinker. They assured me that new units would cool more efficiently and perform significantly better than the old units. I am now stuck with a huge monthly bill for the next 6 years to pay for the units that are NO MORE EFFICIENT nor keeping up with the far more mild summer temperatures we have had this summer! My energy consumption has not decreased one bit and the costs of course just keep on rising. These units are not doing any better than the old units in cooling the home. Additionally, despite detailed discussions regarding the installation of the units, placement of the drains off the roof and installation of the thermostats in the house, the work was well below any standard I would describe as professional. For example: The sales person assured me that the job would be supervised by him or the installation supervisor at all times. This was important for many obvious reasons, but mostly to ensure that the details we discussed and confirmed would come to pass. When I got home near the end of the installation (about 1 1/2 - 2 hours left on the hob), only the laborers were on site. They were leaving the drains in the same space they were originally which had resulted in water damage to the deck and yard previously. This is why we discussed in detail how the units would be drained. The laborers insisted they were told by the supervisor to leave it that way. I had to contact the company and go through the entire discussion again to correct. Even then I was left explaining it to the laborers who could have cared less. In the end they did a terrible job of setting up the PVC drain and damaged my house and covered deck which has multiple screws through the wood that I now have to look at every day. There may be other damage on the roof that I am not aware of as well but I cannot go up there myself to inspect. Of course the sales man said he would repair the screws jutting out of the roof of my deck but 3 1/2 months later I have never heard from anyone at Elite again. Additionally, the drain hangs clumsily over the walkway in the yard and creates a mud puddle in the garden as they did not run the PVC all the way to the block wall. Then there was the matter of the Thermostats. The laborers came in the house to install and after the first one was up I inspected to find not only was it hung crooked but it was a totally different size than the prior units. This left exposed paint and marks on the wall that would require repainting of two entire hallways to cover. Once again the salesman promised to correct this by getting proper sized plates. He did come back a few days later with plates but they were a different color (gray) than the thermostats (white). So now, to return my home to its original condition I would have to hire someone to repair my deck roof, run the drains properly, and essentially repaint two entire hallways, about 600 square foot of wall space. Again, never heard from anyone at Elite about any of these issues. Other small realities - the units were supposed to have heat strips which were not available at the time of installation so I will now have to wait and see if Elite Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning follows through on providing and installing these necessary parts. The package I purchased also "included" two years of regular maintenance. I am loathe to let these folks back on property and risk more damage and poor service."
