"I'm not sure how they other person who reviewed this place said it's a "so called high crime area" and "they haven't seen a single crime" . I live on the street right before the apartments if you are driving down Parkview. And you would have to be blind deaf and stupid to not witness a crime every day. Cops are constantly either looking around the neighborhood with spotlights looking for whoever. Or they are dealing with a call in the area. Not that long ago there was a murder onthe corner of Parkview and Mazzone in the beginning of the neighborhood. Not to mention the other murders in the area in the very recent past. Think the closest one I could think of was a few blocks away by the 711. Another thing is the seemingly permanent party/blaring mariachi music all day long sometimes until 1am or so that I can hear clearly anywhere in my apartment. And then I also like all the staresand dirty looks I get cause I happen to be white in a area where in like one of ten, definitely the minority. And don't expect to be treated with any sort of common courtesy unless you speak Spanish and are part of the majority, even if you are a good neighbor it doesn't matter. Since most of these places are section 8 housing, u can also expect any realty company you deal with outside of S8 housing to be horrible on a good day, mine was nice enough to raise my rent $80 when I renewed. That Was also after they remodeled seems like every apartment besides mine, and they can't even fix what is broken here. The second heater thats in my bedroom has been broken for 6+months. When I showed them during the annual inspection he responded with a shrug but included it in his report but has yet to come fix it. Or replace the bulbs in my outside stairwell, so I get to walk up a pitch black staircase late at night or if anyone knocks and it's dark out I get to answer the door without knowing who it is. But all things aside it's still cheaper then most places and even though living in the hood isn't ideal, I got lucky since my street doesn't have much activity and it's a dead end so only people that have a reason to be there are."
