"1st.: Fire Brooke at the Front Desk!!! She has no business dealing with people. 2nd.: Great location and great price. 3rd.: Invest in a little TLC for the place. You could make a mint if the place was better kept up. It's dated and in need of renovations, seriously."
"Stayed here for 3 nights. Pro's: * Location, location, location. It's in an amazing part of time and walkable. * Everyone is incredibly nice and welcoming. * Snack packs are actually solid (I just wish they were available before 7). * Location was amazing (it's worth mentioning twice). Con's: * Incredibly dated... hasn't been updated in 40+ years. * Don't trust the photos, the rooms don't look like that. Our room had peeling paint, holes in the wall, missing caulk in the bathroom, dirty carpet, and mold/mildew in the shower. * Kitchenette was unusable; our oven was literally falling apart. We didn't trust it to cook. * Beds were very old and uncomfortable. * Everything in the room seemed to be falling apart - the lamp was missing the turning bit to turn it on/off; the sliding glass door for the balcony didn't close all the way, curtains didn't open all the way because the track was warped, etc. * It all smelled like mildew literally everywhere: lobby, hallways, rooms, bathroom."
"I booked a room from 10/4 to 10/13 and paid online. No hidden fees it said on the website. Upon arrival I was charged extra for the furnishes that cones with the room. The oven, microwave, refrigerator, TV, even parking space. When asked for a room without these furnishes as they didn't have a disclaimer or notice on their website for customer information. And they said, "every other hotel is doing it in Hawaii."--wow! I am never doing business with this shithole. I do not recommend staying here at all"
"My family and I stayed at this hotel last week; the rooms on the website are misleading, this hotel's rooms are comparable to a Motel 6. The rooms are small, the carpet is extremely stained, the building is very old, it has a horrible smell in the lobby and rooms, and it is in a bad part of Honolulu. The hotel is so old that it is not equipped with enough outlets for use of electronics; it had one outlet in the kitchen area, and two in the bedroom area that are being used by the lamps and alarm clock. The building is connected to a restaurant, which is connected to two buildings that are vacant and have graffiti on the walls. There is a massive police presence in the area and for a good reason. There is also a large homeless population hanging around outside the building. On the upside, they do have an iron and ironing board, blow dryer, and Hawaiian Tropic brand shower supplies in the room. Housekeeping does come each day to your door to deliver fresh towels, and it is near Waikiki Beach. It is the cheapest place in Honolulu, but for a very good reason, or reasons! Don't let their website fool you, below are actual photos taken February 2021. I wanted to leave a review on their website, but they would not send me a review because I expressed that I felt their website was misleading upon check-in, and I complained about the smell of the hotel."
