Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach

"This hotel with an excellent location, but there are some reasons why we will choose not to come back again. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk informed us that the oceanview room we booked was only on the tenth floor. The reason was because we were too late, but this It's not the point. The room was very noisy that night. The front desk said it was because there is a club in the building next to it,and the tenth floor was very low and it was very noisy from the ground level. We couldn't sleep that night. The next morning we asked the front desk and they gave us a city view room,As soon as we entered, we found that there was a problem with the toilet in the bathroom. It kept making noises. The maintenance staff came and went straight through the carpet to the bathroom without taking off their shoes. This made us feel unclean and wondered if they clean the carpet every day? Compared with the previous housekeeping, on the last day of our stay, the cleaning was very inadequate. We have told the front desk and they just said that the manager will contact us, but we did not receive any email. We think It is also a Hyatt hotel, should we be provided with comfortable accommodation conditions?"

"My spouse and I enjoyed a 5-night stay at this updated, modern, and clean hotel. The staff and management were very friendly and accommodating. We had a spacious ocean view room. Great value for the location for it is directly behind the Royal Hawaiian. Close to all the shops and restaurants. Easy parking. Towels provided as well as beach chairs, boogie boards, and GoPro to borrow. Huge plus was the water refilling station on our floor next to the ice machine. We had a nice experience and will stay again!"

"My wife and I booked this hotel LATE at night around 11:30pm after we arrived to our reserved hotel across the street and had been bait and switched from what the rooms look like online and filthy to boot. Everyone at this hotel was nice, helpful and accommodating for us. They were so great in helping us out so late at night and outside normal check in hours. The rooms are beautiful, it is a city hotel so yes you can hear traffic but if you’ve ever stayed in a city before this is normal. There are nice shops and a Starbucks reserve connected to the building. The pool area is beautiful as well though it is only a shallow wade pool."

"Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Pros: 1. Location is very good. Walkable to shops, restaurants, convenient stores and not far from beach. 2. Pool is nice, good for kids. 3. Most of the staffs are friendly Cons: 1. DO NOT stay in room 801. Room 801 is at main lobby level and only 3 feet away from main lobby elevator. I heard people laughing, kids crying, and the elevator notification sound all day and night. Also, that room is facing Main Street and you can hear the traffic pretty easily. It is not fair for anyone to get that room. 2. Inconsistent valet parking experience. A few of them are nice but most of the valet people is not very available. There is one time I waited over 10 minutes and still no people show up in the valet counter and I have to call the front desk to let them expedite. And there is another time valet people ignore us and chatting with others over 5 mins while I sat in the car waiting them. Eventually I have to get out of my car to deliver car key to them."

"After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about staying here. However, the rooms are beautiful, in great condition, and more appointed with amenities than other Centric hotels I have stayed. They do not yet have on-site F&B facilities, and I do think they should alert guests about that in advance of their arrival, however a 1,000 point bonus isn’t bad. First property I’ve also stayed with Hyatt to ALSO offer complimentary valet parking in addition to self parking on award stays. The hotel is in a great spot in Waikiki and I’m very glad I stayed here! I definitely would again. The staff made me feel very welcome."
