"Great family vacation spot! I've never gone during the busy season, but I'm guessing the crowds get bad as even in off season there's quite a few people. Rooms are nice, clean, very fast service, friendly staff, and of course no end of fun things to do. Keep in mind prices in the Hilton Village are higher than the surrounding area and restaurants fill up fast. Absolutely gorgeous beach, fun well maintained pools, and fantastic lagoon. Convenient, comfortable, fun, and safe. All of the kids and adults had a great time. I think it's a great first time trip to Hawaii spot or for events. Keep in mind there are no lifeguards."
"My room ONLY gets a 2 because I ended up with a corner room that had two balconies and a view of the ocean. My original room was a partial ocean and I had no problems except that next door to me was a very loud group. In the evening I asked to switch to any available room and to my surprise was given a much nicer room. For that the room gets a two and the service a three. The workers were all very nice that I encountered. Unfortunately I don't think I could have outrun noise unless it was in a corner room because the walls are paper thin. The other issue with this hotel is that it is very dated, stuck in the 1970's. The furniture is very worn, the paint is chipped in many spots, and the balcony did not look very clean. For the price it is not worth it, at least I was here for a work conference. The resort fee literally gets you nothing, one or two towels at the pool but that's it. Oh and you need to present a card to get that and it states that if you lose the card you will be charged $20. It is also a very crowded hotel. If you want something smaller, more quiet, less crowded and receive at least two free water bottles a day stay at the Modern Honolulu (Yes another Hilton property). Overall very disappointed in this hotel and will certainly not be staying here again."
"The location is good, with a beautiful beach and pools, and s lagoon. The rooms are nice, and the staffs are friendly. Room service lady was so sweet. However, parking at the hotel is expensive. You can find cheaper parking options within a 2-3 minute walk, costing only 1 dollar for one hour. The ABC stores in the hotel offer affordable souvenirs and pool-related items. Starbucks provides a convenient and quick breakfast option. On the downside, the loud music played in the bar can be disturbing, as it can be clearly heard in the rooms until late at night."
"We had an overall great experience. From checking in through to retrieving our luggage on the last day. All the staff were pleasant. Our room was clean, as were all the common areas. We ate at Tropics one evening and watched the sunset. There is plenty of shopping and dining well within walking distance. Our only disappointment was with the food at Tapas. However, the live music was enjoyable. We were fortunate to be there over two Fridays for even more fireworks. Will plan to stay again, just skip eating at Tapas."
"My family had a great experience at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki. The resort and rooms are very clean, the grounds are well-maintained, and the restaurants' service is spectacular. The lagoon is great for smaller kids. The pool is relaxing with plenty of seating. The beach is quiet and peaceful. My only complaint was that when we were checking in, our room was not available and we had to wait several hours with small children in the lobby. We were able to keep busy because there are restaurants and shops within walking distance, however after about 4 hours of waiting, we were all ready to be in our room and relax. The concierge did provide a complimentary meal for the inconvenience, which was very nice. Overall, a great family vacation experience."
