"Stayed at Romer for a 5 night stay and had a great time with the family. The rooms and the resort actually look like the professional photos posted by the hotel! Breakfast here was very good and reasonably priced, rooms were clean and well stocked (however soundproofing is needed, both room and patio doors do not seal well letting all sound through) Pool is decent and also clean. Welcome drinks provided daily at 4pm. Beach supplies with Beach Candy provider is quite far from hotel. Free bicycle rentals (new bikes!) was great for the family! Best of all was wonderful and amazing service from Sylvia (and the rest of the staff) at the front desk!"
"My friend and I had an exceptional stay at Romer Waikiki this February. The lobby and rooms were well-decorated, spacious, and clean, and the balconies offered beautiful views of the city. The hotel's convenient location in Waikiki made exploring convenient, and the hotel grounds felt very safe. The service and amenities the hotel offered were also very impressive given the price point of the hotel, including the rooftop pool and live music offered on certain nights. However, what impressed us most about Romer Waikiki was the exceptional staff. The manager, Matt, went above and beyond to meet our needs and ensured our stay was enjoyable. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, the valet staff were always welcoming, the cleaners consistently did a fantastic job, and the pool bartender made the best cocktails! While my friend and I would've returned for the price point and location of the hotel alone, we will undoubtedly return because of the staff at this location. Each and every one of them will help to make your hotel stay feel like a home away from home. If you are planning a trip to Waikiki, definitely book a stay here! A heartfelt thank you Matt and the entire team for an incredible vacation! We can't wait to return! :) - Sam and Cam"
"We enjoyed our stay at Romer Waikiki. There is a lot to like about this hotel and I plan to return in March. The positives: location, comfortable beds, thoughtfully renovated rooms, good pool deck with lots of loungers, lovely spacious lobby, nice in-room amenities, water bottle filling station. A few minor negatives that can be improved: the rooms advertised on a postcard that there was free coffee in the lobby but that isn’t the case. Room doors slam and are quite noisy, soundproofing could be better (maybe have earplugs in rooms?). Beach Candy amenities are not convenient. Consider changing how pool cabanas are rented. Maybe offer rentals that are half day or by the hour."
"Friendly people. The rooms are about 3 stars. The lobby area is about 3.5 stars. The hallways are 2 stars. The room is the most important thing so it’s more than passable. The ac works well and everything feels new and fresh in the room. Definitely appreciated. Some of the rooms in other hotels in Waikiki in general can be dated. Maybe my biggest problem is the rooms are not very well insulated. You can hear everything in the hallways and next door."
"Newly renovated lobby and rooms! Very clean and cute. Very nice bed linen. Good shampoo and shower gel etc - also in reusable bottles mounted on the wall, which I love as it is more environmentally friendly. Overall I enjoyed the stay very much. The resort fee may be frustrating, but a lot of hotels do that and even comparing the total price it's a good deal for the location and room quality."
