"I have an account with boh and they still placed a hold on my money order when I needed it the most. Saying "We can give you half" which means they profiled me as a person who commits check fraud by the way I looked and was dressed. Overall Awful experience. Never banking with them again."
"BAD BAD BAD ! I have spent 1 entire and over 200 times to enroll in on-line to get monthly statements for my account which they refuse to send me, however their web site does not work and keep getting an account verification error. The bank employees keep screwing up my account and password. Employees there give me a hard time every time I have to come in to a branch to do any banking FOR THE PAST 40 YEARS. They have lied to me many times and given me the run around. They make false advertisements and claims. And falsely represent themselves on television commercials. I have had over 100 incidents with this bank improper attitude and cooperation. I have gotten excuses every time I have to go in to a branch. They rudely block me from my money and I doubt whether they would return my money I have deposited with them. A merchant online which I purchased an item from never sent it to me and skipped town with my money. The bank failed my request for my money back, fail to provide to me where the electronic transaction money trail went. Police won't help me. BBB and consumer protection got no response from the merchant nor could they locate the owner. BAD BAD BAD......"
"You know my experiences with Bank of Hawaii especially this branch runs hot and cold. I'm so grateful that I still recognize most of the tellers but service has definitely declined. I don't know if it's because of new management? I keep asking myself why do I bank here? I bank here because it is convenient. Mobile banking, Mobile deposit and bill pay and easy deposit at Bank of Hawaii ATMs. I travel often and I get no reimbursement on ATM fees. So again I ask myself why do I bank here? I don't receive customer service especially at this branch, they don't have a product for those that need some type of ATM fee reimbursement or even pay a higher annual fee on your Hawaiian Airlines debit card to get more miles, they don't even wave cashiers check fees which is upwards to $12. All of this I can get free with my credit union at HawaiiUSA. The only product that you can get literally everything for free is a bankOhana level III. You must have upwards to $50,000 or a qualified linked loan such as a mortgage. I live in the real world, I have a Bank Ohana level one. It's a shame that a bank that is supposed to be representing Hawaii doesn't even listen to the community needs and can't even offer basic customer service. One last thing to add. I had to call customer service because they're mobile banking was down as usual. I live in Ewa and I had an appointment at 4pm on Beretania Street. During rush hour waiting in traffic I was still on hold. Walking in to my appointments 415 still on hold. Called customer service at 230pm was transferred to the mobile banking department and was on hold for the entire drive to town. I will screenshot my time that I spent on the phone waiting. I hope that some executive is reading and actively following up on yelp reviews because there clearly is a disconnect with this branch and customer service in general."
"I was told to send a letter to close my account. Heard nothing. Sent Another letter. Heard Nothing after a month. Called up 7 times, was told everything was completed and they had received my letters. I Called up the next week to make sure because they have a habit of not doing their job and they still had not closed it. Still trying to close my account and no one at the Bank of Hawaii knows what is going on... still!"
