"The VA in Southern Nevada is the worst in the country. Providers lie, laugh in your face, ignore you, etc etc etc. Then they get upset when you get tired of it and call them out on it and flag you. Providers act like they are above any veteran and better, patient advocate does NOTHING! This place wants veterans to die rather than treating them and giving veterans the care we deserve."

"As an employee the HR department at this specific location is the absolute worst. I wish I could score this VA a zero solely based off how trash the HR department is. They will lie right in your face about things you’ve requested that they never responded too. I had a name change almost a year ago and submitted the docs July 2023. Insurance cards still say old name and having a hard time seeing the doctor. Went today to speak to someone about it and supposedly “someone called this morning” REALLY? So the day I come and go off to speak with you; you supposedly call the morning of? Be for real. They need a whole new team in HR because the ones they have now…DO NOT CARE!!!!!!!!!"

"The nurses and X-ray tech were great. I had to tell the ER Dr. to please test me for influenza and COVID . He wasn't going to do anything. Turns out I had COVID and had to ask him to prescribe me something. Was the sickest I have ever been and down in bed for 3 weeks. All the other staff was great but the Dr. Could've cared less. Had to go back to ER and ended up needing antibiotics the Nurse practitioner who I saw was amazing yesterday. Just want to say thank you to all of you that work there and care about the Veterans that you treat!! I have to give 4 stars now she was great and explained everything to me and actually read my records . I appreciate it !!"

"Highly recommend this facility as a location to work and serve our nation’s Veterans. This hospital serves Veterans of all branches of service. The building is modern, light, and clean. The staff are very friendly. There is valet service for Veterans for the main business hours which is very helpful for those who have difficulty walking or who have sensitivity to the weather, especially in the over 100 degree heat. There is a small retail store for some snacks and incidentals, a coffee shop, and cafeteria. The education center has a lab with mannequins for CPR and training. Parking is free, but the lot fills up in the mid day on weekdays. The hospital participates in the Daisy Award for nurses. The hospital is a site that helps enroll Veterans for the MVP-Million Veteran Project. Check out job postings of various positions for the Veterans Affairs.
