"My family applied for an apartment and got refused because they did not believe my moms proof of income. My mom works hard and to be deny from an apartment because her income is not believable, I’m not sure how to take this. I also am not sure if this is legal or who we can reach because it seems like my mom is being discriminated."

"It was a good place to live for a year. 2 bedroom is designed for parent(s) and kid as the bedroom sizes differ a lot, closet space kinda makes up for it. Apartment was not fully clean when we moved in but management heard our concerns and addressed them as needed. Location is great though, walking distance to all the necessary stores!"

"Submitted my application (with $50 non refundable application fee) 7 business days ago when the South Highlands website said there was a studio apartment available. I have tried calling and emailing to get a response about the status of my application but have had no response yet. The worst part is that I checked the status of my application on the South Highlands website over a week later and it said that the apartment I applied for is no longer available. It is curtious to call applicants to at least let them know their application was not accepted. If I had known my application was rejected I could have started looking for another apartment right away. Edit: THIRTY DAYS after I submitted my application I received an apology email and a refund on my application fee. I appreciate the refund but this place still gets a 1 star review for their shockingly slow response."
