InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront, an IHG Hotel 11 East Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55101

"I had the worst experience here ever at Check-In. Not only did it take 45 minutes to get checked into the room. They were also helping other customers while in the middle of my reservation. At one point I had to ask them to stop assisting other guest and to finish with mine. Also i was not told any information about the hotel and not told a simple thank you enjoy your stay. Not anything. If i could give the front desk service this night a 0 i would. Not to mention our room was 55 degrees. I heard other guest complaining about it . And last but least the 11th floor hallway smelt like burnt vacuum all night."

"We were not impressed with this hotel. When we arrived, they were having elevator issues so they took us to our room in a service elevator. The next morning, the elevator was not working and there was no one around to assist so I took the steps nine floors up to my room. When we got to the room, the first thing we noticed was the room was a bit dated and the furniture/cabinets showed significant wear. On day one, the room was a bit cool, but not terrible. We adjusted the thermostat and left. When we came back, it was still cool and we realized the heating/cooling unit was not doing anything. When we left for the next day, we let the front desk know. When we arrived back at the hotel that evening, it was quite warm in the room so it was clear the heater was working. We thought the thermostat was just set too high. We turned it down and left for a bit. We arrived back at the room and it was even hotter. It was clear the heat was stuck on high and the thermostat did nothing. Since it was late, we were forced to sleep in the room that was 80+ degrees. We did eat at the restaurant for breakfast. Prices were ridiculous ($5 for a cup of coffee) for mediocre food."

"Unfortunately I have to give a poor review, even though we did enjoy the location. We drove up to the cities to enjoy a Minnesota Wild game. We were initially situated on the 10th floor, but due to a last minute decision to bring our dog we were moved to another room on the designated "'pet floors" which was totally fine, I understand they have protocols in place - but the issue is the room they moved us to was ICE COLD. Keep in mind it's winter in Minnesota. We had to rush and leave for the game- but turned up the thermostat in hopes that when we got back the room would have warmed up. Still ice cold several hours later. Called down to let front desk know - they sent up a maintenance man (who was very nice) but all he could do at 11pm was bring a tiny space heater (something you would use to warm up your feet at your desk - not warm an entire hotel room) needless to say we spent that night shivering and did not get a good nights sleep. Had to go to bed wearing several layers of clothing and still shivering. The next day they sent up another maintenance person who was able to fix it, but we were shocked upon checkout that they were not going to do anything to compensate us for that first miserable night. Eventually she said she could give us some "points" which we later googled and found out that it wouldn't even cover a nights stay at any of their locations. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer care here. I'm hoping someone reaches out to rectify the situation."

"We had a lovely two night stay. Great room with comfortable beds, fantastic river views and decorated nicely for Christmas. The staff were all lovely and helpful. We enjoyed the large bathroom. We enjoyed drinks and an appetizer in the restaurant. My only criticism would be the robes are not luxurious, they are scratchy and rough looking. Upgrade or don’t offer them."

"Stayed here while visiting for work. The staff made my stay extra great - so helpful and accommodating. I was particularly thankful for Ivette (maybe Ivonne?) at the front desk. She has a bright and vibrant personality and was incredibly helpful. Bathrooms were updated and quite nice."
