"I was literally one of the first people to move in 3.5 years ago. October 2020 when they first opened. I always regret renewing my lease. As the building was filled with new residents it went downhill fast. Stolen packages, smells like weed, loud music nearly every day, door sensor ripped off and doors propped open constantly. Management will never fix any problem. They had a lot of vacancies as they opened during the pandemic and leased to anyone just to fill units. I’m probably the longest resident still remaining here and I do not recommend renting here at all."
"I have been living here for 3 years with each year having new management. That being said I can say that Schafer Richardson is by far the best management to be more exact I'm referring to Alissa and Jackie. I had been having this ongoing issue with my ledger having these incorrect amounts and they made sure to make everything right even while having their own personal issues going on they made me and my child a priority. They even gave me the opportunity to move into a bigger unit! It feels so good to have a great team in my office I feel way more comfortable in my home knowing if anything is ever wrong they are a phone call away! Thank you so much Alissa and Jackie for constantly showing you care and making the redwell and it’s residents a priority. I really don’t know what we would do without you guys."

"I have been a resident at the Redwell for roughly a year and a half now. During my time here, there have been at least three different property managers and two different management companies (Schafer Richardson recently acquired the property). Overall, things have consistently been a mess. What’s unfortunate is that most likely the majority of our building’s issues are caused by a handful of residents. However, things are consistently in disarray and it affects everyone else. - Despite the building’s no-smoking policy, my hallway constantly wreaks of weed. In an apartment building, bathroom vents share the same duct system which results in wafts of marijuana billowing directly into my apartment via the bathroom and my apartment front door. This is a problem I had mentioned multiple times to the previous management, but no solutions ever came around to it. I’m hesitant to bring it to my current management as they already have their hands full with incredibly neglectful residents (see in list below). - Easily over 9 months ago, the lobby and elevators began to be consistently found with dog feces and urine. This continued (and still has) for many months before our management publicly addressed the issue with a notice (see picture). This has not made a huge difference, as the dogs and neglectful owners continue to make a mess (see picture of elevator taken today). - Recently management put up a second notice regarding our trash chutes, which are consistently clogged. This has lead to residents just leaving their trash bags sitting in the trash rooms on each floor. If the residents do not rectify their habits, management will require us to bring trash to the underground garage. - Evictions are very common. I believe I’ve had one or two consistent neighbors during my time here. Overall, I want to make potential renters aware of the many issues this property has faced and the actual value they will receive if they rent here. For a one-bedroom apartment, my rent is $1346 (which increased from $1276 once SR took ownership). Even though the Redwell is income-restricted housing (one occupant must make less than $52k), I still believe that residents are entitled to getting what they pay for. My unit is overall great and I have been able to make a comfortable home. I appreciate the large kitchen, in-unit laundry, and large windows. However, these features can be easily found elsewhere for a cheaper price point and where the building doesn’t have a substantial history of wildly neglectful residents. My lease doesn’t end for another 8 months, so hopefully we see some major improvements from Schafer Richardson. But for the moment, this place is an embarrassment and its overall value is very complicated."
"I would like to note that the new office team is doing a fantastic job, our new maintenence guy (Tom) is awesome. I am so thankful for his attention and services especially to the dumpster area in the lower level parking garage. The cleanness and sanitation he has given in just one week has made living here a peaceful experience and definitely appreciated. To our new Property managers Jackie and Allisa, thank you for all the changes and jobs well done."
