"If I could give this apartment and management negative stars I would. In the beginning, everyone was great to work with, but after we moved in it went downhill. Within the first couple of months, there were 8 cops there all day and we were lied to when asked about the situation and we were ignored when asked if we were safe. Along with that, they do not care about the upkeep of the building. At one point the controlled access door was broken for about 2 weeks. Even with 4 maintenance requests and a phone call, it took my boyfriend finding a homeless person sleeping in the hallway for them to finally fix it. Speaking of the door, for almost 2 months the door would occasionally not open from the inside of the building (an extreme fire hazard), I put in 4 requests, a phone call, and an email, and I was brushed off every time. They are terrible at communicating and rarely respond to emails, even if it is important (such as the door, not opening). The parking lot has one light, which does not do much, even after multiple people voicing concern nothing changed. The parking lot is also not properly taken care of during the winter, it is pure ice. When I mentioned it they said “that is what winter is like in Fargo”, they made no attempt to remove the ice rink that is supposed to be the parking lot. There was also a point someone just walked into my apartment without proper notice, when called and confronted about it they told me in my lease it states in emergency situations maintenance can do that, which is true, however, this was not an emergency situation, they were just returning quarters. The quarters were returned because the washer made all of our clothes smell like cigarettes. When I mentioned this to them I was just told “that’s what it’s like with shared laundry”. They made no attempt to clean the machines. There have been many, many times I did not feel safe in this building. That was mentioned in the reason we will not be renewing our lease, they made no attempt to contact us to talk about that. I don't think I mentioned everything, but that's the gist of it. Overall, they do not care about the safety of their residents, they only care about the money. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!"
