"Love the Wingate as well as the staff. Clean rooms and a great breakfast. Close to the highway as well as food and drink locations. Easy check in. A must stay while away on vacation."

"Bring your own cleaning supplies! As a parent to kids in several different sports, we travel a lot and I don’t typically consider myself one to pick things apart but at this property it was difficult to find any positives. Immediately upon entering our room it smelled of cigarette smoke that had possibly attempted to have been masked with a ionizer (just my guess having previously worked in hospitality). The longer we were in the room the heavier the air was to breathe. Carpets and sofa were atrocious, raisins on the floor from previous guests, sofa was stained horribly and we couldn’t even flip the cousins to because it was on both sides. I noticed the night stand looked dirty so I grabbed a tissue and wet it with water to wipe it down and the photos speak for themselves. If you look closely it appears to be cigarette ashes which explains the lingering cigarette smell from when we arrived. In the elevator on my way to ask front desk attendant for cleaning supplies so I could clean the room I paid to stay in, I overheard more guests talking about their dirty stained sofas in other rooms. One of the pillows was dirty and looked like it had made contact with something that was wet and had dried on pillow case. Pull out sofa was full of crumbs so we didn’t end up using it. This hotel will be an absolute no for me in the future but it does have one of the best hair dryers I’ve ever used!"

"Beds were sagging like a hammock. Stains on carpet, chairs, and bed cover. When we asked for a different room front desk told us they were full even though the parking lot was empty and their own website showed availability."

"Very nice, clean hotel. Great location close to restaurants, shopping, and the interstate. Very clean, well maintained property. We never felt unsafe or anything like that. We had stayed in a 1 king bed non-smoking room. Our room was really good size, with a large open area (it looked like a room where 2 queen beds had been removed to put in 1 king bed). The room featured two nightstands with lamps, mini fridge, microwave, in-room coffee maker, table with a couple chairs, and a separate closet. The room was very nice and clean. The hotel had many amenities, as would be expected for an upper mid-level hotel such as this. Good size indoor pool, business center, fitness center, several meeting rooms, and a large continental breakfast. The breakfast included many staples like coffee, juices, a waffle maker, bagels/pastries with a toaster, eggs/sausage, cereal, and fruit. Weekend breakfast hours were 7-10 am when we were there. The value was 4/5- it was less expensive than comparable hotels in the Fargo area, but I've also paid considerably less and gotten more at other hotels in other cities. It was your standard, upper mid-level hotel (definitely better than mid-levels like Ramada or Comfort Inn, but not to the Hilton/Ritz/Four Seasons level) and it did not disappoint, but there was nothing to put it over the top. Overall, a really nice hotel with friendly staff, well maintained property in a nice location. Would definitely consider staying here again if I were ever in Fargo again."

"Nice place for a night! We had a whirlpool room and the tub was pretty clean which was great. Nice spacious room to relax in...definitely recommend it. Also thought the manager might want to be notified that the tub faucet was leaking the whole time. Not really a problem for us since the AC unit, bathroom fan covered the noise but thought you would wanna know.... Over all, great place to spend a night! Thanks!"
