"STOP TAKING MY HONEST REVIEW DOWN. THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE. metro101 has taken my reviews down 10 times now. these are photos that i took while living here for 2 miserable years. cockroaches, dog poop, trash, poop stuck in gym toilets for a week before it was cleaned. management here sucks, they only care about getting new people into units to get their money. don’t move here, it’s a waste of your money. also, if you have a problem with stray cats, for the sake of the stray cats, don’t move here. the cats don’t need more people complaining about them simply living their lives. if you complain about the stray cats, i hope you know you’re a horrible person and your karma will come. also i’ve been cat called while living here by residents, as well as homeless men walking thru the parking lot because the gates are never working. keep that in mind while living here."
"I had a wonderful tour experience. The property was clean, and the staff was welcoming. Out of all the properties I toured in Tempe, Metro 101 was the most impressive. Lamont was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the property and area."
"My apartment itself is nice. The walls are SUPER thin, can hear what my neighbour is saying clear as day. If you live in the back of the complex please drive slowly because there is an intersection where people speed past and can cause a collision. 1bdrm layout doesn’t have much storage space for me and my girlfriend"
"Pros: - Location - distance to the freeway - Generally good front desk staff - Gym is nice - Direct apartment maintenance Cons: - Parking (Specifically difficult for a Guest or second tenant/vehicle) - Little to no security - Complex wide maintenance is rare - Trash Collection - Poor overhead management - Lower end Appliances - Package system works inconsistently My rent is $2001/month for a two bedroom unit split between myself and one roommate. With utilities and other charges we pay around $2300/month. We have two cars. Extrapolated Points: Pros: - Location, it is close to the freeway making a commute easier. The short distance to the metro stop also makes it easy to get to the airport or downtown without having to drive. - Some great staff have really helped to enhance my experience and have always been friendly. - The large gym goes under utilized and has generally nice equipment and is kept generally clean. - In apartment upkeep is prompt and without issue. Cons - Parking is a problem. During peak hours it is difficult to find a spot. Company vehicles are often parked in the lot, intensifying the issue. There are no parking passes to determine residents or not, and local businesses take advantage. - Lack of security. It is common that people loiter around outside the complex and sometimes within the complex. The gate is permanently stuck open allowing free entry - Maintenance of general complex amenities is rare. Small things like the water fountain in the gym is in disrepair, the gate is broken, exterior wall holes, and various broken equipment. There is not an attempt to upkeep the property and the buildings. - The valet trash service is ($25/month). However on weekends garbage is not collected and is left out for days at a time attracting roaches and feral animals creating a mess. - The appliances are lower end. The old style electric stove top. Oven has poor heat distribution, and a dated dishwasher. - Packages are delivered to a locker however often emails of arrivals are not sent (leaving packages inaccessible) or packages are left on the floor unsecured - Management is poor and does not take responsibility. When presented with problems blame is pushed onto another entity. Some examples: = The problem with homeless loitering in the complex, it was said it is not the responsibility of the complex but it was up to security. = Illegal business parking. It was said that it is not the responsibility of the complex but up to the tow company. All issues and problems were directly told to complex staff over a month prior to this review."
