"Beds were awful. Sunk in the middle. They were like mush. Backs were so sore in the morning. Refrigerator broken leaking water and ruined our food. No body wash or air conditioner in containers. Low water pressure. No maid to refill them so we couldn’t shower to start our day. The front office said they weren’t coming in for 30 minutes. Ice machine on 4th floor barely worked. Pool was very cold and manager said she will not raise the temperature, therefore, the pool was not heated as stated in the description. The air conditioner was so loud that it woke me up several times. Inside handle on the bathroom door is broken off the wood. The lobby restroom smelled so bad it was nauseating. This little vacay was supposed to a nice little getaway mother/daughter and this hotel ended up being. a way overpriced nightmare !!!! Never again for Best Western!! First and last time!!!"
"The location is great as it's close to all the amenities for Downtown Tempe area. The room is not as clean as any other Best Western hotels. I could hear all the stomping from above. Lastly, I have forgotten about my passport and government document in the safe. Unfortunately, the items were taken out of the safe and not reported. I will not be going back to this hotel, hence I am giving this a one-star review."
"I was actually surprised that a best western was this nice. It’s an interesting brand concept. Hotel was new, clean and modern. Room was fine. Minimalist, not luxurious and comfy (but the bed was new and fine). Amenities by dry bar were nice and daily housekeeping was excellent. Location was ok. Kind of loud but the very loud a/c drowned out the noise. Odd that they didn’t serve coffee in the lobby in the modernist (at 200 a night that is really table stakes). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Was expected a rough stay and it was more than fine."
"The location is great and the rooms are nice - the service, however, is absolutely deplorable. Two rooms were reserved for three nights and four nights respectively, with the reservation agent making (numerous mistakes) and breaking up the nights into separate reservations. Over an hour spent on the phone being 'escalated' to management - the lady said she would call me back - she DID NOT CALL BACK. When I checked in, the manager, Teresa, stated she would fix the reservations being broken up - she DID NOT. The key card stopped working and had to return to the desk. The young guy at the desk was awesome - he should be the manager! I don't think management cares as they will continue to receive customers, so they just shrug off any complaints and move on to the next customer."
"Rent a room for the night. Was going to be in Phoenix for 5 days. I went to the front desk to extend my stay. The young female clerk helped me, or so I thought. I believed she went above and beyond to help me and tipped her 20 bucks. Well stupid me that didn't happen. I was out at a customer when I got a call letting me know check out was at 11. I was 45 minutes out from the hotel. That was a Tuesday and I extended it until Friday morning. I get back to the hotel to grab my stuff out of the room. I go downstairs to check out. I'm beyond pissed because my stay was not extended. I check out that's when the clerk says oh I see you were check staying until Friday morning. I had no desire to go back in. They clearly don't know how to run this place. They lost a possible corporate account, as a traveling salesperson I try to stay in the same places while traveling. So you also know they have a bar downstairs and one on the room top. It's not far from Arizona State College, almost 100 kids were partying at the bars. A lot of young rude college kids. The lady was screaming outside the hotel. She was not right. She was yelling about her United States NAVY rank, platoon, and some other stuff. She said she was a retired navy captain who had seen war. I'm not sure if it is true but still breaks your heart to know it might know she may have served us and this is how we thank her. Rooms are small, small tiny fridges, no microwaves, no breakfast. They have a Taco bar a Peets coffee you can buy from. It's a good place for 1 night. Stay in the 2nd level. The most quietest. Accepts pets at 45 a night, they have no potty area for the animal so they have to use the bathroom in the parking lot."
