"I was asked to leave because an incident happen between some kids and my kids, and was ask to leave, and was told if I complied without court proceedings it would not be place on my credit as an eviction…. They lied it is on my credit and it’s stopping me from moving anywhere else, I didn’t leave because I couldn’t pay my rent. This was a verbal deal they made with me. And I complied. Don’t trust anything they tell you. Now Chamberlain and Associates own the property and no one picks up at the Pem Residential Realty Group in just need my ledger from my time there."
"I rented at The Lively Indigo Run in Ladson, SC when it was managed by PEM Real Estate Group. They miscalculated my refund after I moved out and turned the erroneous amount over to a debt collector without even contacting me when the truth was that they owed me money! I've reached out to Heather at their office many times, but receive no response. I would avoid any property managed by them."
"PEM Real Estate, like most major corporations, takes advantage of people just trying to live. Consistently upping rent while their rates are fixed, yet giving tenants absolutely nothing in return. And I don't think they pay their employees actually working at these complexes enough. They're just looking to give the executives insanely large bonuses at the expense of the working class."
"I live at the Mark apartments in San antonio...this is the worst management company ive ever seen. Everything was fine prior but when PEM took over...the management of our apartment is horrible. They dont listen to any complaints and the one clean apartment complex is now filthy...no one cleas up after the dogs...the corridors are full of trassh. They do not do a good job of managing the property ."
"I live at the Link apartments. I believe several managers have come and gone. The last time I went in the office there was a female and male, not the same that were here when i first moved in. Maintenance sucks also. Zack the Maintenance Supervisor that was here when I first moved in was attentive and on point when it came to maintaining the property. I had an electrical issue and AC issue in the beginning months when I moved in, he took care of it, explained what he was doing, had to order a water heater, intalled a temp AC unit, which was really good and cold, and returned when he said he would to replace the WH, its been working great since. That like April of 2022. Now my AC has been down since Saturday, 5/27. I noticed it was cooling, sent emergency requests that my AC was down, sent pics of the thermostat (started at 82 degrees on Sat, it was 83 in my apartment last night). My grandson was visiting and had to take home home early because it was stuffy in here. I bought an extra fan which helped a bit, but still no maintenance people. Last night I sent pics of the water lines frozen and ice coming thru these lines, if they explode or cause damage, I have an attorney on speed dial. No one deserves to get killed or injured in an explosion that could be prevented. I wasn't lying when I said I was filing a complaint with the health department either. Today is, Monday, 5/29 Memorial day and no maintenance person to be seen. I pay almost 1400 in rent for 1 bedroom, don't even have a disposal, they NEVER hear from me, unless its something huge like this. I pay my rent on time or before every month, with no violations yet, I can't get someone to fix my AC. My suggestion, remove this "emergency" maintenance portal and remove the people that choose not work. Its not fair to us in this apartment community. They also have a recorded greeting with a male's voice saying the office is open on Sundays at 11am. it was closed. Then a female's voice appears right after the male voice to repeat the exact same things as the male's voice, with the exception that its closed on Sunday, so there are 2 voice greetings with prompts that contradict each other which take at least 10 minutes to get thru the whole thing but reaches no one, or at least no one in the maintenance department chose to return my call about the AC. The voicemail is there, I'm sure they will lie and say they didn't receive it."
