"Never again. 1. No hook in the bathroom, not on the door or the wall? Furthermore, the bathroom door would not close - the door needed to be planed, it was really a bizarre oversight. 2. The upholstered chair in the room was filthy and had stains on it. 3. One of the toiletry items was half used and dirty. 4. The shower was deplorable, not enough water to shampoo my hair. It was the worst. 5. No full length mirror 6. 2 hangers - count em- TWO. 7. Very small tv. Housekeeping was ok. One day the bed was not made, though the trash was emptied. Breakfast was pretty basic and not something to get excited about. On the positive side, it was quiet and the room was dark due to the addition of blackout curtains. I guess they are pet friendly which is a nice amenity. There was an iron and ironing board in the room too!"
"La Quinta Inn & Suites is usually a nice place to stay, and this location is close enough to downtown Phoenix to be able to drive easily to offices or other places; and it is far enough away from downtown Phoenix to be able to miss the rush hour traffic. However, I would not recommend this hotel. I was given a room that had not been cleaned - it was the messiest room I've seen. I checked in around 5:00pm and the housekeeping staff had already gone home, and the front desk clerk said it was beyond her ability to clean the room. I was given an alternate room, which was clean, but it was next to the street and parking lot, so there was quite a bit of noise for the first part of the night. I partially chose this hotel because of the low price - I guess I got what I paid for, and next time I'll be willing to pay more."
"I had a nice stay at the La Quinta Inn in Phoenix. The staff were kind, and accommodating. La Quinta is pet friendly which is why I like staying there with my service dog. They have a nice free breakfast with coffee that tastes great even to this coffee snob. My only critique is with the room which could use a bit of TLC. Stains on the arm chair which I mentioned to the front counter employee as I checked out...did not have any bearing on my stay at all. Frayed carpet in the entryway, in a handicap accessible room, again didn't have any bearing on my stay. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Moderate noise from upstairs. Close to the fairgrounds which is why I was there. Overall I recommend this La Quinta, if there are any issues, the front desk people seem to take note of it."
"The room are nice enough. Even though the tub was rusty and the AC unit was blowing humid/moldy air. The cleaning lady was very friendly and nice. The rest of the service in this hotel however is just terrible. At the breakfast the waffle mix ran out pretty early and they didn’t replace it. The night desk person was rude kicking us out of the lobby at 10pm even though we were waiting for a ride saying we can’t sit on the sofa and have to go outside or to our room cause the lobby “closes” at 10pm. Even though we only were sitting waiting for our ride doing nothing else. The ice machine was broken and leaking water wetting the ice machine room and part of the hallway. Two homeless men walked in during breakfast and started eating (with dirty/ripped clothes and clearly on drugs) and the front desk person didn’t bother to leave his chair. It didn’t feel safe for families and kids. The property has potential but the management and staff training is evidently below acceptable standards."
"Came to this location after an absolutely HORRENDOUS experience at a La Quinta about 15 minutes away (if you want details there’s a separate review under that specific La Quinta). The woman at the front desk of this La Quinta was very friendly and understanding. I don’t remember what her name was but she had some pretty awesome tattoos. She got us a room as a walk in, even checked it herself. The room was very clean. My only concern was that the shower was a little dirty but nothing a quick wash down couldn’t fix. Beds were clean and comfortable. I checked them to make sure there were no bugs and there weren’t even crumbs under the bed. Close to a couple different restaurants, we chose Raising Canes for dinner. If you’re looking for a La Quinta, this is the one to stay at!"
