"Greetings, I got the QR Code for reviews. I read through all of them. Allow me to share this: There are so many factors involving renting. I’ll share my sincere view. Solid brick walls are not insulated. Therefore, you will hear more noise. In addition, it will be cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer, hince higher utilities. That’s the type of building this is. The repairs that occur are age appropriate with the building. This should be considered when looking at a place to rent. Let’s talk about renting… I sold a home that did not have 52 acres, a gym, a whirlpool, a swimming pool, a community room and it did not have multiple personalities living on it. The cost to acquire 52 acres, add all those amenities plus maintenance and up-keep annually would be far more expensive than what I pay for rent here. If I took my rent times 12 months, then times 10 years it would STILL be far less expensive than to own the same amenities with all those multiple personalities! Many times we as people want what we want when we want it. But if we take the time to look at all the variables involved we may realize we have more than we ask for. "I lived here for a little over 60 days, ultimately decided we couldn’t live this way. THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Luxury apartments? More like lipstick on a pig. Greystar is the worst management company and the owners should strongly consider finding someone else to manage their asset. Dog poop everywhere, loud trash pickup at 5am, landscaping before 6am almost daily, apartment was absolutely disgusting when we moved in with cat pee carpet, fireplace soot all over the apartment, doors painted so many times you can’t open or close them, shower drain not glued down and full of mold, kitchen tap was covered in slime and they took our entire $500 deposit even though the condition of this foul apartment was turned into them at move-in. Justin and Stacy were no help when bringing these concerns to them to turn our living experience around. Do not rent here. You can find literally anywhere that has staff that have common sense and decency as a human being."
"Seriously I came in and had a great tour with Darnell and after looking at other places regardless they might have been cheaper or more upgraded. Darnell made me feel comfortable and at home and that is what sold me with La Privada I came in on the weekend and asked for Darnell and I was told he no longer works here. I am sorry you got rid of the best sales agent I met in a long time. I chose somewhere else since I can't feel at home the way Darnell presented it to me. No offense to the other girl but Darnell had a way with me and my boyfriend and that's rare in today society"
"Darnell in the Leasing Office is THE BEST. What a great customer experience! We met with him for our tour of the property and he was so friendly, but also very straightforward with what to expect for costs and the application process. He gave great recommendations for what unit to apply for based on our needs and broke down the costs even down to estimates for utilities for the unit we were interested in. We left knowing that La Privada was #1 on our list. We had TONS of questions during the application process and Darnell was always available and willing to walk us through everything. He kept us well informed on the status of the application and gave us a warm “congratulations” phone call upon approval. We are so grateful to have worked with Darnell and can’t wait to get our keys in a few months!"
"To start we moved in the end November of 2023 (11/28/23) , as La Privada was bought by you (Greystar). We walked in and our apartment looked as if it had never been clean. I shampooed the carpets myself and ran them four different times. More important we did not have working ceiling fans, being in the heat of Arizona I am sure you know how important fans and A/C are. I filled out my move in sheet and delivered it to the office, it must have never been read by your manager, as I did not have working fans for 3 MONTHS. Missing knobs for closet. Masking tape wrapped around the A/C unit, and an extremely dirty apartment. The manager said renovations on the communities items such as pool and gym would take a month and then be open, the gym was closed for 6 months, listed that there was a dog park, it was not done for 9 months so why were we paying for amenities we did not have access to? All they did was drywall, paint and replace floors in the gym. That is not a luxury apartment community. We had a hummingbird come in the apartment somehow and it took maintenance 5 DAYS, 120 HOURS, to come get a bird out of the apartment, the bird died and was an extreme health risk. Our washer was acting up and it took 7 DAYS for maintenance to replace it when there was water filled in it and it would not drain. We even had rat, poop everywhere on the balcony and had to call our own exterminator because no one from the office would answer my calls or emails about the status of live rodents on the property, again another huge heath concern. Further more I have expressed my safety concerns, the gates do not work here, random people come everyday to use the trash cans, even raccoons at night come to the trashcans. As well as a safety concern with a neighbor. We have been very patient and gave grace to the maintenance manager and maintenance workers (it is not their fault). Today 9/21/2023 we went into talk to Stacy, community manager. The 3rd manager in 10 months. I called and emailed about an appointment for our 60 days rent renewal process multiple times and never received a response. We never received notification of our 60 days. So I went in to set up an appointment, told us to come back at noon in two days. We went into the office and the manager said in the lobby "I don't have a meeting, I have to go to lunch... well just tell me your problem quick, what's the issue?". After my efforts of trying to make an appointment, this was unprofessional. The entire meeting was insincere, as she stated she was missing lunch multiple times. Moral of the story, neighborhood is great, pool is nice, but not worth the money. Disappointed as we wanted to live here for awhile."
