"New horizon isn’t just great for the area or we’re it’s located it’s perfect for the school that rite next door I love it plus they help you a lot I can’t tell how many times they have helped me I been here for 2 years and I do not plan leaving anytime soon if you guys need help reach out to Ana campos she is a boss in the work she does. "Since new management took over it we have seen many improvements. Kandi is super nice, friendly and helpful. Maintenance request have been answered in a timely manner and they have worked with our schedule to fix the issues we had when we first moved in,under old management"
"I've lived here an entire year and wanted to do a thorough review on my experiences. As a reminder, this is posted 2/28/2017 First off there was a change in management so I will not be talking about what I experienced in the past but the current operation. I will also not be covering my fellow tenants or neighbors simply because everybody is different, some folks yell, some folks play loud music, some folks are nice and friendly, some folks move... it's basically like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get. ::WATER:: + Pro: The hot water comes on in an instant- no wait time. It's great~ - Con: I haven't drank the tap water since the 2nd week I moved in. Buy bottled water. I do use the tap water for cooking if I need it to boil. ::AIR/AC:: + Pro: Our AC works wonders, we haven't had any issues with it. I'm also grateful it isn't a floor-box unit, the A/C is ceiling located creating additional room. - Con: On occasion, I will have to turn off the AC to listen to the TV or the Video Game audio. ::CEILING FANS:: + Pro: N/A - Con: The ceiling fans provided are too close to the ceiling itself, the blades cannot push the air down effectively, causing no cooling to the room. ::TRASH:: + Pro: Thanks to the increase in littering fines, Horizon apartments look a lot cleaner. The only trash I see now is inside the trash bin where it belongs. - Con: Because of the limited space, the blue recycling trash bin cannot fit. Thus you'll have to toss your recyclables into the regular trash bin. : ( ::STOVE:: + Pro: I prefer gas stoves and that's what you'll get here. It heats promptly, functions well. - Con: The oven's high-fan setting isn't as speedy as I would like it. Had to move my mini-fan over to assist. ::FRIDGE:: + Pro: Love how deep this fridge is! - Con: Our plastic door-support used to hold back condiments, fractured. ::DISH-WASHER:: + Pro: Not anything special, but gets the job done. - Con: N/A ::WASHER-DRYER:: N/A { Personal choice, we choose to visit our folks homes and do the job there. We save our coins too. } ::FLOOR:: + Pro: It's genuine tile, I love it. So easy to clean- looks good too. - Con: The carpet color is gross, I personally dislike that shade. Some days it appears as a muddy-purple color. My furniture doesn't match it at all. ::COUNTERS:: + Pro: N/A - Con: I created my own 'DYI' project to fix the kitchen surface the complex provided. The counters cannot cope with high-heat pans etc. So I bought granite squares to fit over the counter. I've never been happier. I'm showing what I did to inspire someone. [See photo] ::OUTLETS:: + Pro: With so many outlets around I never had a worry about not having enough or using an extension-cord. - Con: Some outlets in my unit don't hold in the plugs as well. ::BUGS-CRITTERS:: + Pro: Since we moved in, we had zero bugs in our complex. - Con: N/A ::NOISE-LEVEL:: + Pro: Horizons has a no noise policy at 10pm, it works, I haven't heard or experienced any noises past 10pm. - Con: About every week an ice-cream truck visits Horizons and blasts terrible jingles around 4pm or so. ::MAINTENANCE:: + Pro: Our unit is a two-bedroom with mostly tile, it's a breeze to clean up. I also value just how much space we have here compared to other places we looked into. - Con: The carpeted areas are the toughest to clean. On a weekly basis, specks of plaster fall like snow flakes and are difficult to remove from the carpet. ::"YARD":: + Pro: Glad I don't have to hear the loud 'hum' of a yawn-mower in the mornings. I also appreciate the natural Arizona desert plant-life surrounding the complex. - Con: I don't own a dog (yet) but I feel that as a dog owner the pebbles would hurt their paws.... luckily the grassy park is super close to walk to. ::PARKING:: + Pro: Park anywhere - no assigned parking! Recently re-did the asphalt. - Con: Some areas have a shaded-roof structure but not all. ::PORCH:: + Pro: Though I haven't needed to use it, the extra storage room is great. - Con: Cannot have living-plant on porch."
"Multiple building, health and safety code violation, new management company is fraudulently obtaining leases from tenants and then wrongfully evicting them when they bring up The Apartments violations under ARS 33-1324 to the Manager. ERIKA LOPEZ. Erika Lopez never allowed tenant to see apartment before signing lease agreement and moving into the unit he also failed to mention previous and prior bedbug infestation in the apartment buildings which is violation under ARS 33 - 1319. I will be reporting CENTURION MANAGEMENT, NEW HORIZON, LLC DBA HORIZON APARTMENTS, ERIKA LOPEZ, TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, THE ARIZONA REGISTRAR OF CONTRACTORS, THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT FOR FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY AND FOR FILING CLAIMS THAT ARE UNFOUNDED AGAINST TENANTS WHICH IS DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER, ALSO ANDREW M. HULL, DENISE HOLLIDAY, KEVIN HOLLIDAY, ALYSSA BIRNLEY, AND JUDGE JIMMIE HERNANDEZ WILL BE FACING CHARGES OR DISCIPLINED FOR FAILING TO FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE JUDICIAL CODE OF CONDUCT AND THE EVICTION PROCESS AND FOR NOT ACTING ON THE OATHS TAKEN BY LAWYERS AND JUDGES."
"This property is not properly managed and is disgusting to live in. Upon move in the place had not been cleaned since previous tenants, walls covered in filth, floors cleaned 4 times before the water started to come out lighter, kitchen and bathroom drawers falling out, countertops with some adhesive that refuses to come off, signs of bugs everywhere, a/c vents broken an not adjustable, electrical outlets loose in wall, dishwaher growing mold an not working still after 4 months, outside areas discusting walkways covered in who knows what, trash and broken glass everywhere. Management is rarely in the office and keeps giving excuses every time you complain. The only thing good here is that the tenants seem to all get along and are respectful of each other."
