"I'll start by saying I really like my apartment and most of the workers are pleasant. That's it for the good. Moving in was the biggest hassle. I will try to be brief. I was to arrive at a certain time, but then I was called and informed that my cost sheet was incorrect (their fault) and if I could redo my money order for the new amount before coming in. I was already there. The payment system was a bit of a mess and took too many steps instead of just taking the money order and cashing it. Also confused as to why they don't take checks. Do people not use checks anymore? The app made some mistake with uploading the money order which I just resolved (more on that later). Anyway, I finally get my key, but they were out of parking stickers and fobs. Turns out the gate by my side of the complex is always open so not really a gated community if the community isn't gated up. I go into my apartment, and it was not ready at all. There was a hole in the living room floor, the pantry door was broken (still broken the maintenance guy said it just can't be fixed), there was a hole in the bathtub where the tile ripped up, the guest bathroom was not fully clean, there were stains on the cabinets and closet doors in the guest room, the porch light sconce was disassembled, and there was a disgusting red stain on the carpet which is still there even though the carpet cleaners came back to "clean it". There are more things but too much to list. It took maintenance over an hour to come to my apartment on move in day to fix the broken things and they only fixed two things. I also had some issues with my move in promotion which they halfway fixed so I guess that's something. Oh, and my washer won't completely fill with water so I can only wash like 3-4 towels at a time. Here's the icing on the cake. I get a call today from the assistant manager, no clue her name, who wants to inform me that my move in costs weren't paid and they are starting the legal process to evict me. If you're thinking, well how did you get the key and move in if you didn't pay? That is my exact point. Their communication is abysmal. They literally have the money order sitting somewhere in that office (I have a receipt for it) but no one thought to say anything to anyone else. Also how is it that you could "start a legal process" without at least informing someone that they owe something? No first call, no letter, no email, just action. And did I receive an apology for their incompetence? Nope, just a "I'll call you back"."
"My wife and I initially came here on a Sunday thinking the office was open because the website said it was. Turns out it was closed so we couldn't get a tour of a unit. We did however tour the grounds on foot. The landscape is gorgeous, shade and grass everywhere. They were very well maintained. The area is spacious with each unit a good distance from the front door of your neighbor. Doesn't feel like an apartment at all. The location is perfect for us so we decided to come back the following Saturday for a tour and the inside of the unit was just as well maintained. We promptly applied later that evening and the approval process was as easy as could be. Jerilyn and Lauren were both incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend this place"
"Unpleasant Experience at The Palms I recently had the unfortunate experience of residing at the Palms for a mere two months before deciding to buy out my lease and move to a different complex. My short-lived stay at the Palms was far from satisfactory, and I encountered numerous issues during my time there. Allow me to elaborate on the problems I faced: Roach Infestation and Poor Maintenance One of the most distressing aspects of living at the Palms was the persistent roach infestation. Despite my efforts to maintain cleanliness, the presence of roaches was a constant nuisance. It is evident that the management did not prioritize proper pest control measures, which significantly impacted the quality of living for all residents. Furthermore, the maintenance team's response to repair requests was abysmal. I found myself having to call the office every single day just to get even the most basic issues fixed in my apartment. This lack of prompt action and attention to residents' concerns is highly disappointing and reflects a disregard for tenant satisfaction. Ineffective Communication Skills The staff at the Palms demonstrated a complete lack of effective communication skills. It was evident that they were ill-equipped to handle even the simplest inquiries or concerns. The primary point of contact, Tobin, who seemed to be the only consistent staff member, was unable to provide any meaningful assistance without constantly consulting the absent manager. This lack of autonomy and knowledge among the staff created unnecessary delays and frustrations for residents. Unavailable and Unresponsive Manager Perhaps the most concerning aspect of my experience at the Palms was the manager's consistent unavailability and unresponsiveness. Despite numerous attempts to reach out and address my concerns, I was met with silence. The manager's inability to take calls or engage in meaningful communication with residents is highly unprofessional and reflects a lack of accountability. To add insult to injury, when I called two weeks before my move-out date to schedule a final walk-through of the apartment, I was told that it would not be a problem. However, on the day of my move-out, I called to ask when it would be a good time for them to do the walk-through, only to be told that no one was available to walk the apartment with me the entire day. This was a Friday, and the office was open from 10am to 3pm. This lack of professionalism and disregard for my time and needs as a tenant was the final straw in my decision to leave. Given the multitude of issues I encountered within just two months of living at the Palms, I made the decision to buy out my lease and move to a different complex. The fact that I was willing to incur additional expenses to escape the unsatisfactory living conditions speaks volumes about the severity of the problems I faced. In conclusion, my short-lived stay at the Palms was marred by a persistent roach infestation, poor communication skills among the staff, an absent and unresponsive manager, and a lack of professionalism and consideration for my needs as a tenant. I would strongly advise potential tenants to reconsider choosing this apartment complex, as the lack of attention to resident needs and overall disregard for tenant satisfaction make it an unpleasant place to call home."
"The staff at the palms go above and beyond for their residents! I have felt so welcomed! This was my first apartment and the transition was so smooth! Alexis communicates very well and made me feel comfortable when it came to talking to her about my rent situation."
