"I already regret signing a lease with this place and I haven't even moved in. Nobody ever returns phone calls or emails. Leasing office staff clearly does not want to help with anything. I have already had so many issues starting with the website advertising a move in date that's not available. So I had to extend out my lease at my current apartment and pay a higher daily rate to stay an extra week because I had already paid the application and admin fee. I feel this is deceptive and false advertising. The same day they complete my application, I receive a promotional email offering two months free rent. I ask if the leasing office staff would honor the promotion since my application was run on the same day which they said no. Fine. Then, they guarantee a move in date of February 15th. I sign the lease, call to reserve the freight elevator for move in and they tell me someone else reserved it for the full day and I won't be able to move in until a different date when the elevator is available. So I am paying for a place I can't even move into?!? After tirelessly trying to get the elevator situation sorted out, the concierge finally calls me and tells me the freight elevator has been broken for over a month so doesn't matter anyways. Seriously?!? I originally asked to be emailed pictures of the apartment when I did the application and still to this date have not received any. I called today and nobody seems to know my move in cost. Although they need it in a cashier's check or money order. So I'm just supposed to go to the bank and guess the amount I owe and hope it's right when I show up to the office? The person I spoke to at the leasing office to confirm my move in amount was so rude and unhelpful. She just kept saying "check your email". Well nobody responds to my emails and I have 3 different documents with 3 different move in amounts. Sorry for inconveniencing you for trying to make sure I purchase a money order for the correct amount. $150 a month just for parking and rent isn't exactly cheap here. You would expect for a luxury sky rise apartment in downtown Phoenix to have much better customer service for the premium cost. The only person so far who has been kind and helpful is the concierge Christian. Who actually returned my phone call when he said he would. Maybe you should fire the leasing staff and give him a promotion. So worried about what I am getting myself into. Grand peaks property management is a scam. Lessees beware. Take your business elsewhere. Edited: funny you make a complaint about the leasing staff and the only response you get is to please call the leasing staff. This place is a joke. Read reviews carefully. To continue this review: I have now lived here for one month exactly. For one month I have not had a working washing machine. When I run it, the whole kitchen and half bath flood with water but apparently that is not a concern for them. I now don't have a working kitchen sink. I put in a request for this yesterday and still nobody has came. I can't wash any dishes and the sink is just filled with standing stinky water. When I ask them about these issues they just respond with "there are bigger maintenance issues going on in the building" which I believe because it seems to be falling apart but maybe that means you should hire more staff? Pure elegance and luxury I think not. This place is a joke."
"Absolutely trash I can’t wait for my lease to be up. There is never hot water for a year they have been saying they are fixing the water heater and say it’s fixed for the next week to have no hot water for DAYS at a time. Elevators are always down and management completely sucks they don’t know how to manage or keep up with this building. They call it “luxury” more like the trenches in a high rise."
"After a VERY rocky start during the leasing process, it has been very pleasant to live at 44 Monroe since moving in, March 2023. The amenities have unfortunately been taking longer than expected to renovate, but the remodeled units themselves are stunning. Anytime there is a maintenance issue that is of high importance (A/C for example) they have been very quick to respond and fix the issue. The concierge/front desk staff are AMAZING, especially Jacky!"
"This is my fifth unit at 44 Monroe and I am considering my 6th one. It is unfortunate when the elevators aren't working at full capacity, but it goes with a building this size and I don't have to go out much."
"Edit: I am moving out soon, and of course their portal is now making me pay my rent and my lease break fee in the same payment. The portal is now refusing to take my rent payment because of the lease break fee which is not due until I move out. I went down to the leasing office and have YET to hear back on anything. This review has absolutely no reflection on the front desk staff as they are absolute angels from heaven who have to deal with the atrocities that happen in this building and the management staff. Standby for a generic response from the leasing office about "reaching out if you have any concerns" when in fact they do not respond to any emails or voice messages or even have a direct line. You have to bother the front desk group to track them down while they hide from responsibilities. I've been a resident here for 3 years now, and I wish I would've moved out when this place was sold to Grand Peaks. It seems like the management offices main goal is to make the lobby and their office look pretty. We currently have one functioning elevator which they had the audacity to tell us is "adequate" for a building with some 20+ floors. Imagine coming home from working or needing to rush out and waiting an extra 30 min for an elevator to be crammed like a can of sardines. That fire happened 10 days ago, there is no end in site. They sent us an email to plan for a "unit inspection" the day before thanksgiving. They expected residents to either be home or have our dogs locked up anywhere from 9am to 5pm. And guess what, they never showed up and never communicated. The smell of marijuana... is EVERYWHERE in here. It's in the elevators, its being sold in the garage, residents are walking around with blunts in their hands and it reeks, everywhere. Our garage doors have been been broken and wide open to the public since November 2022. We have had multiple incidents where residents have had their vehicles vandalized and broken into on the premises. The trash compactor, has been broken since January, leaving a horrible odor in the lobby and forcing residents to throw their trash onto the floor into the room creating a disgusting place for rodents and other citers to thrive. I have on more than four different occasions sent messages and gone down to the property management office to complain about the cigarette butts that keep being flicked onto my balcony floor and landing onto my patio with no resolution and absolutely no response. All of my patio furniture is burnt up from the cigarettes'. The office/complex fails to communicate with residents about anything that is less than perfect. We were told that the pool, after a year, would be opened again just a few weeks ago, in time for Memorial Day. It was never opened and here we are in December, still no functioning hot tub, no gym, no community room, nothing. The hallways of our units are being painted, with again no advanced notice from management about when this was taking place so residence did not have any time to make arrangements. A majority of us either work from home or have pets that we need to take out, being tarped in during a random point in the day is very inconvenient."
