"I never write reviews but I felt it was important to note our dissatisfaction with this particular hotel. If I could give zero stars I would. When you first enter the lobby, it looks nice and well maintained. We were instructed to drive to the back part of the hotel where our room was located. The area its self does not seem the safest. As we looked for our room, we noted the filth outside, including the pool area. We walked past a couple that stated “we are not going anywhere near that hot tub, look at how disgusting it is here”. That was another red flag. Once we got to the room we were immediately uncomfortable. There were viable stains on the carpets, sheets and splatters along the walls, it was covered in dust everywhere. You can tell it is not thoroughly cleaned after each stay. My son used the pull out bed which immediately showed stains. The sheets provided for the bed had stains. I was disgusted. It was late and didn’t have many options to leave and go somewhere else for the night so we endured through one night of our two night reservation. We noted a bug that had been squished on the shower ceiling and was left there with a black shoe print. We received a text from customer service about our stay and told them we were not satisfied, they told us we could be moved to a different room the next night since they were currently at full capacity. They gave us a number to call for corporate. We called and were told the manager of the hotel is the one one who could issue us a partial refund for our two night stay. The next morning we went to the front desk requesting a partial refund and the refused. They were not helpful in anyway. Do not stay here. They are overpriced and one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at."
"I did not stay at the DoubleTree, but I kept seeing their vans passing by as I waited at the airport for the shuttle to take me to my hotel. On their van they advertise their warm cookie that greets you when you check in. It got me hankering for one of their cookies so I walked to their hotel and I was kindly given a few at no charge. That, for me, is something that will make me want to stay at DoubleTree next time. Not just for the cookies, but for the generous and courteous and kind service they gave to someone who's not even a patron of their hotel."
"Entire property has a generally grungy feel with rooms cheaply remodeled with plastic showers, cheap trim & furniture. Not cozy at all. Absolutely unreliable airport shuttle. Area around the hotel is downright scary. Not a place for a walk outside. Rooms face outside so probably not the most secure place. Overall, adequate. One step above a motel."
"If you’re looking for an affordable hotel near PHX Sky Harbor airport then this place is for you! We booked this hotel during New Year's Eve weekend for insanely low rates of about $100/night. As Hilton Diamond members we have the option for an upgrade but since these are already suites, there wasn't an option available for us. We didn't mind, though, because we went into it knowing that. We were able to select our room prior to check-in via the mobile app but were disappointed with the offerings. We selected it and then sent a message from within the app asking to be put on the top floor and they happily obliged! Always happy to be accommodated. Upon check-in, we were gifted a little goodie bag with 2 bottles of water and their signature walnut chocolate chip cookies. The hotel itself is more like an inn/motel atmosphere with the unit being exactly what was pictured in the app. It had a separate living room area, a kitchenette (no stove/electric burner) with a microwave and a mini refrigerator, bath, and bedroom. The amenities were clean and there was nothing to complain about. Room service was fairly quick whenever we ordered items to be brought up. The only thing I really didn't care for was their kitchen. The food was relatively average so I spent a relative chunk of my food credits at their lobby buying energy drinks and snacks throughout the weekend. Despite it being New Year's Eve weekend, it felt very quiet, clean, and homey. I definitely plan on returning for future visits."
"I don't like the architecture of this hotel. The rooms and the elevator are on the outside! Very dangerous if you ask me. For a DoubleTree by Hilton property, I expected better because I've stayed at several. Maybe it's an Arizona thing, I don't know. Aside from that, everything else was good. The staff, the on-site restaurant, cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel/hotel grounds."
