"We asked for two queen beds and guess what they gave us. Two rooms instead which is no help for our trip. Then the rooms were so bad and couldn’t ever be clean or anything. Never coming back here again."
"Since I am laying in my room awake in the wee hours for the second night in a row I might as well right a review. This is my first stay at this property or any Sonesta. The room is comfortable and roomy. The location has a lot if restaurants and shops nearby. I agree with someone else who posted earlier that the toiletries are lacking compared to similarly priced hotels like the Marriotts I stay at. I'm in the desert and there isn't your standard lotion that's in every hotel I usually stay in. The bar of soap is oddly rough. I booked this hotel because it appeared to have a lobby bar from photos. I'm staying alone for the week and it's sometimes nice to relax with a cocktail before heading back to my room for the night. The bar is just a place to get coffee or some breakfast items it appears but oddly the display in the lobby shows a cocktail like that's an option. My biggest issue is that for the second night in a row there is a group partying in the courtyard below me. Last night it lasted past 2 am. We are coming up on 1 am now. I have called down to the desk both nights and it's taken close to 30 minutes for them to get anything done. This place needs to have quiet hours for their courtyard since they can't insure that they will have adult guests with common decency. At close to $300/night, I'd expect more for my money."
"Decent overnight. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. The pool area looked beautiful. It's in walking distance of lots of restaurants and stores."
"My company booked me at the Sonesta on camelback in Phoenix. The location of this hotel is perfect. There are several restaurants, stores, and grocery stores within walking distance, which after a day of work is perfect. However, the rooms are just OK. I prefer the Marriott family of hotels, so I am used to higher end amenities, e.g., bar soap, lotion, coffee in the room. The amenities here are non-existent. The room is clean and comfortable, but it's just a room (the TV is the size of a desktop computer monitor). Lastly if you advertise as extended stay, improve the amenities, e.g., put in a decent gym. A positive is the grounds are really well maintained"
"Ok so I came here like a year ago for my graduation with my bachelor's. Everything was great and they even put tables together for us in the lobby to eat our in and out and treated us like we were at a restaurant with refills of coffee and water. That old manager was amazing! So fast forward to this recent visit. I tell everyone let's go to the same hotel. Great location and it was amazing. Ppl fly and drive in from 3 states. I even upgraded my hotel room for my wife. My elderly handicapped grandmother goes to check into her handicap room. They tell her it has a tub. My grandmother can't life her leg more than maybe 5 inches if that. The manager tells me there is 1 walk in shower in the whole hotel and it's always booked. This is because according to state law they only need 1. So my grandmothers room has two peep holes. One for regular sight and one for a wheel chair. Now that would tell me if someone is wheelchair bound how are they supposed to get into a tub? The room came with a chair to build and place in the shower but how does someone elderly or wheelchair bound put it together and in the tub? Thank God we had family staying with my grandmother but I didn't sleep the two nights I was there because I was worried about my grandmother! The main manager apologized but her body language and tone told me she could care less! Also the handicap rooms are very far from the lobby, now there is a door near the room you can access with your key however there is no handicap parking in the back near the door and the parking garage is further from the handicap parking on the side. There is also no ramp in the back of the building so even if I dropped her off she wouldn't be able to raise her foot to get over the curb. To be fair the support staff was very helpful and even took video of the room for my grandmother to see, the night manager gave us some meal vouchers that we used in the morning however the food was awful and expensive. We ended up paying for some of it because the vouchers didn't cover all of us and it was not good and made from like frozen food boxes. Due to this the management ruined our celebration and my grandmother couldn't bathe for like 3 days Because of this! Bottom line is I will never stay there again!"
