Sonic Drive-In

"I went to the drivethru at Sonic in Maricopa today for lunch and ordered the Footlong Quarter Pound Coney combo. It came with a footlong chili cheese hotdog, tater tots and a medium coke. The total cost of this meal was $10.10. There were three cars in front of me, but the staff served them pretty quickly, so my total wait time was not too bad. As I was one car away from the window, an employee stepped out the door with my food and took my payment. I pulled up to the window when the car in front of me drove away, and she handed me my change and receipt. The food was pretty good, except the first couple bites of the hot dog bun were cold, on the dry side and missing a chunk. The rest of the bun was ok, but torn in a couple places. My best guess is that this bun was not very fresh, causing it to tear when they tried to open it up to place the hotdog, chili and cheese inside. The tots were still hot and crispy when I got home. It was a decent meal for fast food."

"My visit to Sonic Drive-In left me with mixed feelings. The service was rather disappointing as the person taking my order paused midway to deliver meals, leaving me waiting. I understand the drive-through can get busy, but it was a frustrating delay. The overall atmosphere of the place was just okay—nothing exceptional. While the food might hit the spot, the service experience at Sonic could use some improvement."

"40 minute wait for 3 kids meals. I ordered 20 minutes in advance while stuck in traffic, still had to wait 40 minutes after checking in, and on top of that, I still had to go back inside to fix the order. Absolutely ridiculous. What should have been a convenience to make my night easier ended making a bigger delay and even more hectic night. This isn't the first time this has happened either. It seems I'm just paying to waste my time on cold food. I love Sonics, but the service just makes it not worth it anymore."
