"We contacted Great Floors to try and order flooring that wasn't available in our area. We were trying to match existing flooring for our first floor during a kitchen remodel and Great Floors was the only store we could find that had stock. Problem, it was across the country and they won't ship. Fine, we asked if we could purchase and arrange FedEx pick up and shipment ourselves. The initial response was sure, let's work up a proposal. 3 hours later we got a curt response - "We're sorry, we don't operate that way." What the?! Frankly, just shoddy customer service and communication. I guess if you're local they might be easier to work with, but my experience is that poor customer service and communication doesn't know if you're local or from far away."

"Horrible. We paid almost $9,000 to carpet our entire house. We bought what was supposed to be their best carpet so that it would last 12-20 years. Less than a year later they had to replace it. That replacement is now showing signs of defect barely 7 months later. Told that an installer could come out with scissors to take care of it."
