Legend Oaks Apartments (Gated Community)

"I live on the bottom floor and have for about 8 months and in that 8 months my home has been flooded by waste and sewage 5 times from the drain in the floor. I will come home or be sleeping then this awful smell will hit me and I look in my second bedroom or in the hall and there is water and grease and food poring out of the drain from the floor in the side closet. It has ruined boxes of my stuff when I first moved in, and the Maintenance crew snakes my drain for a hour then two days later it floods while I am at work and poor's waste all over my floors and stinks up my apartment again. This last time I sent a request and it has been over 2 hours and no one has showed up to help me stop the flooding and it is still leaking water into my apartment. I would not rent from this place."

"All of the bad reviews are old and or spam. Great place to live overall, every apartment complex has issues but these are clean, well put together and friendly management. Good neighborhood too. Love the schools."

"I've lived here for many years. Mostly for convenience. When I first moved here the gates did work but they haven't actually worked in almost two years. And because of this cars have been stolen and broken into. Plus the majority of the cameras don't even work anymore. There is no gym. There was at one point but it's never been moved or built elsewhere in almost 2 years. The past 3 years the pool has been open maybe a week. Although most the time when it was open the pool was disgusting and green. We had a manager that came in a while ago and actually started cleaning up the property. Got rid of a lot of non sense that was going on but for some unknown reason she was let go and we are now resorting back to how it was. All the bottom apartments flood.and have other plumbing issues. We was told there would be a back to school party for the kids where they'd get supplies etc and they never did it. Don't think it's fair to pay what you pay when theyre still offering all these amenities and most don't exist or work anymore."

This place seems like a quiet little community on the outskirts of KC, and I definitely made a good choice coming here."
