Comfort Suites Speedway - Kansas City

"The room was filthy bathroom smelled like smoke. The couch had dog hair all over it and there’s dog food on the carpet. The hotel claims are pet Friendly and charges $45 extra for two small wiener dogs, which was not disclosed on our original reservation. The Hotel fire alarm went off at 11 o’clock at night and woke everybody up. I suspect it was young kids playing around in the hallway. When the fire alarms went off many people were coming out of the rooms we were woken up because we were sleeping and the whole floor smelt like marijuana and it’s a no smoking hotel. The front desk staff member was not helpful at poor customer service skills and it was very evident. She just didn’t want to be there. I would recommend staying at another hotel."

"Room was ok. They were updating so understandably there were things out of place, like our room numbers were on making tape. The fridge never not get cold, the hand held shower head holder was broken, the slats on the hide a bed were broken, and water never got hot. All of which I reported but only offer was to maybe switch the fridge. Breakfast was good. Location was good. Stayed here when we got to town before our weekday nights at GW Lodge."

"It's nice but I've stayed at better places for the same price. By this, I mean the breakfast was not so great and the pool is pretty small. I would give 2 stars for both. No hot tub either. If you're looking for a comfy bed, they do have that and nice rooms!"

"The room was a nice size and clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The location is very close to great restaurants and shopping. We were quite impressed with the breakfast spread. Lots of variety and the food and dining area was picked up and kept clean. The only complaint I would have is that the walls are thin and we could hear our passionate neighbors next door. But that is the case with most hotels, so 5 stars. A great experience overall!"

"This location was pretty central to a lot of restaurants which was nice as I was traveling and this was my last stop prior to my destination. The front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming! Although there were renovations happening it was still kept very clean and very well presented. The room was amazing and VERY clean. Cleaning was taken seriously at this location which make me as a customer much more confident in my stay. The beds were comfy and the setup overall was perfect. I definitely recommend staying at this location if you’re traveling in this direction."
