"We booked this room for 2 days only to find out when we got there this place is a time share resort. We told them we didn’t want to listen to their pitch. We got put in a really cruddy room. The floor was warped, the bathroom was dirty and it was raining and the bathroom wall you could hear dripping. We found out we could not get our money back. We left. Dont Book Here!"
"We stayed in one of the larger 2-bedroom suites. It was very nice. About 1100 square feet, 2 bathrooms and a large screened in porch overlooking the fountains at the end of the resort grounds. Large full kitchen and small kitchenette in the extra room. Large dining room which easily seats eight. Very spacious and comfortable. Big bathrooms, dual sink, nice showers. They have a decent sized little store with all the 'essentials', along with pizza and Starbucks. A lot of activities for small children. Swimming, basketball, volleyball, ping-pong, mini-golf and a nice little gym. Nice walking trails, too. Oh, and they have a nice secure guard house at the front gate too. We liked that. The cons ... the beds are old and need to be replaced. Not very comfortable, and one was very squeaky (springs). They don't do a daily room cleaning. You have to bag your own trash. They will come and take care of whatever you need, but you need to call each time. They do allow pets apparently. We had neighbors in a different building with yippy little dogs who barked a lot on the deck. We called the front desk, but it didn't get any better. The concierge lady we talked to was difficult to understand (she seemed confused and didn't seem to comprehend our questions) and we had to yell for someone at the front desk when we checked out ... she could have been very new though. It's a quiet location away from all the noisy tourist stuff. The Queen Esther play (which is great, by the way!) is about 1 mile up the road. Very convenient. Overall, not too bad. We'd probably stay there again."
"We just stayed a week at the Woods. We had two units in the lodge next to the creek. These units were nicely appointed, quiet, and clean. We utilized the kitchens to make several meals, and enjoyed the space and accessories the kitchens provided. We do recommend providing a pizza cutter though. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious and we loved the rain shower head. This resort is gate secured, which made us feel safe. Only issue is the marketplace is closed during week right now due to low season. Overall, we had a relaxing time at the Woods and look forward to coming back. The Woods is dog friendly, and our dogs had a blast!"
"Definitely a smaller version of the smokey mountains experience, it turns out that is both a benefit and a detriment to it. The upside is that nothing beats going into an outside hot tub in 20 degree weather with no one around, but the downside is that if something happens to the one hot tub on the entire property, you're screwed for a bit. The rooms are extremely standard fare for Westgate, inoffensive, clean, and with the most beautiful ceiling fans I've ever seen. Overall, I'd judge this location based on how much you vibe with the surrounding attractions and how detrimental it'd be for you if the hot tub went down."
"The location is absolutely beautiful. It feels very much like you're in a cabin in the woods. It went from feeling very safe to being spooky real fast. Upon arrival, you come to a big gate with an attendant. Once inside, you head up the hill. After checking in, we made our way to our room, and that's when it got odd. Our room was upstairs, and the lights were on, and the door was wide open. It honestly was very spooky because we were on the backside of the building, and it definitely was eerie. But we went back to the main building and they quickly moved us to a different room. There was nothing else memorable about the room. But it did the trick. It was pretty and affordable, so we would definitely give it another chance. They do not offer complimentary breakfast or anything."
