"Stayed in past, but last two years rented boats at the Marina. Larry was a great help and the boats were nice and taken care of. This location has to be the Best view on Table rock!"

"It's sad to see the state the resort is currently in. I spent almost every summer of my childhood and into adulthood staying here and it's a shame how downhill it has gone. I'll start with the rooms. We weren't able to book a condo for our five adults and baby so we got two adjoining rooms instead. The room smelled like cigarettes even though we requested non-smoking. While the floor had recently been replaced, it was filthy and covered in dirt/debris when we checked in. The rooms were also incredibly musty. I know that in the summer months humidity isn't a shocker, but the box springs to the matresses were moldy where they touched the bed frame. Speaking of the mattresses, I think they were the same ones my mom spent HER childhood sleeping on. My husband had a spring that stuck up through his back on the one we used. After talking to the rest of my family, their beds were no better. The bathtubs didn't drain when you were showering so you had to stand in your own dirty water, plus whatever crept up the drain while it struggled to get the water out. My husband used a towel that had mascara on it already, but had been folded so it went unnoticed until he dried off. By the third night into our trip, we called the front desk to see if there was a condo available for the remainder of our stay. Thankfully, they got us switched the next morning, and the front desk was very helpful and understanding. While the beds were better and it was nice to be able to wash the towels prior to using them as to make sure they were clean, we quickly found out that the air conditioning wasn't working, probably why they had that vacancy. There was a window unit in one of the bedrooms, so we could thankfully keep the space comfortable, but at the expense of two of us freezing at night. It WAS NOT cleaner than the first rooms we had. My son was crawling on the carpet and would come up with black dirt marks all over his hands, knees, and feet. Anywhere that touched the carpet, dirt marks were left. I tried vacuuming the room and it didn't help. I would put the lack of cleanliness onto the maintenance staff. Perhaps if they weren't drinking all day (you could smell it on them without trying to) and socializing with guests, they would have the time to clean the rooms properly. There was a large storm that blew through the night before we switched to the condo. The ashtray that was on the lower level in front of our door was knocked over by the winds. We watched for two days as housekeeping smoked on the steps, right next to the ashtray and never put it right side up or picked up the trash that had spilled out the side of it, as it had a trashcan underneath. We unfortunately won't be staying here again, unless some big changes happen. The old, traditional motel style rooms need severely updated, and the good time, party staff needs replaced. I know that they have branded the hotel as a party stop with a large outdoor bar next to the lower pool, but even if you crawled to your room and passed out, I don't think you'd be able to sleep on the beds we were on the first couple of nights. It's really disappointing."

"Sure changed a lot. Public dock closed. Had to tie up on private dock and luckily locked gate was propped open so we could all go to the tiki bar. Not sure what other options were out there. Seems like keeping public boats away. We always still have a good time there. Even if we had to"sneak" in. Menu really limited now. Unless you order from the nearby restaurant. We just all shared a snack and would eat boat snacks when on our way home. We definitely didn't drop the normal $500 that we usually do in our group. Nothing bad to say about it just not the normal usual fun and good vibes."

"Honestly there’s not much that actually went right with this stay. We started off on two adjoined rooms and one of the bathrooms had a soft spot in the floor and the toilet didn’t really flush and all of the beds felt like you were sleeping on a burrow of hedgehogs. We should have seen some red flags when we noticed the cleaning staff spent more time smoking and talking with other guests than actually servicing any rooms. We ended up getting sick of it and moving to a condo unit. Unfortunately, we soon found that the AC didn’t work whatsoever and the carpet was so disgusting that after my baby would crawl on it for 5 minutes his hands, feet, and knees would be covered in grime. We did however have a beautiful lake view so we all sat on the lumpy beds that predated my grandmother and stared out the window in our 77 degree room."
