Reviews
"Yes, I saw the reviews before I came here on 03/02/2024. Most of the 1 star and other bad reviews share similarities and they all tell me that whoever these people are, they either did not go in to the store and speak with the owner, or they went in wanting something for nothing. This incredibly kind and generous person is a serious collector, and has put this amazing display of vintage toys and memorabilia on display to share with others, be it serious collectors or someone looking to get started on a collection. He most likely will have something for you and your budget, but that requires you to go in and have a conversation! My wife and I, along with our 2 sons, 11 and 12 years old, decided to take a trip here and were immediately greeted with kindness and a question of what we were looking for. My 11 year old is beyond obsessed with Godzilla. His collection is extensive, and he has many rare and discontinued figures that are valuable. He came here to see if he could find another to add to his collection as we had not been here yet. The owner did not immediately say what he had, but asked my son some questions to narrow things down a bit so he could better help him find what he was looking for, as well as find something that was in the realm of what he could afford. This place has everything under the sun, from cheap to extremely expensive, high end, rare toys and collectibles. To some people, these questions could be taken as him being rude. That is not the case. He is doing this to better be able to help you!! If this somehow is offensive, then maybe walmart or target are better options for you. Its ok to go in to a store and look around, and not buy something. That some would state that he is aggressive or mean if you dont, only tells me you never went there, or you did and you were the one creating a problem. Multiple customers came and went during the hour or so we were there. Not everyone bought items, but all were acknowledged and treated with kindness, regardless of if they bought something. With the owner taking the time to get to know us, my son, what he was in to, how much he was in to it, he was able to get my son something extremely special and it happened to be something he was looking for. I wont name the product or price he paid, but I can tell you it was priced beyond fair. Low in my opinion, but thats another thing that makes this guy special. He finds these products, and his prices reflect what he got them for. If he got a crazy good deal, instead of pricing something so high that its going to collect dust, he passes on the good deal to the customer. Thats exactly what happened tonight. You dont start a business and then keep it going for close to 30 years, successfully, if your heart is not in it. Do yourself a favor. If you have a passion for unique and rare collectibles, or you are curious about starting a collection, shut down yelp, ignore the suspect reviews, and take a trip there. But make sure you have read what is clearly stated by the owner!!! Call before you take a long trip over as hours can change!!! Several bad reviews should be deleted for this reason alone!! Read people!!!! Last thing ill say. Its unfortunate that people today are so quick to be judgemental, and the internet has made it easier to bash a business. If you went to this place or another one in the same field, you know that list is small and only shrinking. These places will be a thing of the past someday. That can be attributed to many factors, but bashing a place when you havent been there is insanity. This is someones livelihood, and they arent doing this as a "get rich quick" venture. It takes a special person to run a place like this, and its obvious when you take the time to communicate with him that hes doing it because he also enjoys seeing others share in his passion. Both of my boys walked away with more than they imagined, for less, and giant smiles on their faces! *EDIT* I wanted to mention one more thing. The unhinged review below mine proves many of my points. I WAS NEVER ASKED TO LEAVE A REVIEW."
"There’s lots to choose from when it comes to comics, collectibles and much more, some of which is almost impossible to find elsewhere. Also the owner is a stand up guy, he showed initiative to help me find something I might like and for the sake of making sure I got the most out of my visit which I appreciated."
"Zero Stars! This dude has lost his mind. Do not go to this store under any circumstances. He typically won’t sell most of his “merchandise” unless you first give him a good review. He literally asks to see your review before he will sell you anything. Just simply read his responses to bad reviews and good reviews and note the fact that only his bad reviews get likes and no one likes his good reviews. It’s pretty obvious. He doesn’t want you to touch anything, will yell at you and your children, and his favorite hobbies aside from collecting things that he displays but won’t sell you are to call the police on you, yell at you to go to Target, and accuse you of stealing things from him. Oh, and his hours are horribly inconsistent. Just watch how he responds to this."
"Lived here for well over a decade, never saw the place open but to my own fault I never looked at the hours posted. After leaving dinner last night next door I wanted to show my girlfriend the place I always wanted to go in. Low and behold, someone else had the same idea and the owner invited us in. Both her and I loved the place! I wish I had more time to really dig in and check out everything. The owner was a cool guy who clearly is passionate about what’s in store. Picked up some rad Simpsons stuff for myself and my daughter along with a Lego mini figure I loved as a kid. I will definitely be returning more often as he said he has constant new inventory in. You’ve got returning customers with both of us!"
"Very cool store and large selection to choose from no matter what Fandom merchandise you're looking for. The owner knows about all of it and the prices are fair to the value of the product. Hands down the best toy store I've ever been to."
