"I come here sometimes after visiting my best friends grave at the cemetery next door. I enjoy walking on the docks for a peace a mind whenever it’s not packed with people fishing and catching whatever. I have seen people let their dogs and kids swim their which is an amazing idea until you go onto the “beach” and notice all the glad and trash, and the playground after taking my kid twice and finding needles I stopped taking him which sucks because my Son loves going there and no one picks up after themselves nor is careful with glass bottles, hooks, string/ropes and their drug addiction. It’s sad lazy people can ruin such a beautiful place- I come from a clean state and coming to Texas it’s sad how lazy, disgusting and disrespectful people are to their state. $500-$700 fine and 3 months jail I’d caught littering in N.H. should be the same here."

"This is a family fave and has been my whole life. We have had our family events here time-after-time-after-time. I would post pics, but out of respect for the family who are in them...just know it's a great spot. The following is available: boat launch, 2 playgrounds, restrooms with power outlets, covered pavilion with power outlets and benches. It is best to reserve the pavilion thru the city of Beaumont. Plenty of grass for kids to play, bring tents to sit under. If you are a member, the Beaumont Country Club is next door."
