"This hotel is very money hungry. There is a fee for everything! Getting a room that doesn’t smell wet and like mildew is a gamble. I was moved from an okay room to a room where the bed was very unstable, mold on the walls and so much noise in the halls from staff who are able to bring their kids to work with them and they can’t seem to keep them under control. The staff does not seem to communicate well about the rules and practices of running an efficient business. I got so angry at everything that was wrong that I cancelled my reservation and left! I will not be back....this place is terrible."

"Horrible! when i checked in the bathroom was absolutely filthy! The toilet had not been cleaned from prior use. This was evidenced by the remainder of bowel movement inside the toilet along with hair on the toilet seat and floor. When I went to the lobby to request a new room, the maintenance worker stated, “Well what do you expect? You get what you pay for.” If paying a cheaper price for a room means that i have to wallow in filth then NO THANKS. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone."

"I get to my room Only to be greeted by a roach crawling on the Ceiling that eventually fell on to the bed. I have pictures as well, Brought this to the “manager’s” attention simply stated go to the front desk they can refund your money. Did not seem concerned at all, to top it off, I have to dispute charges with my bank because they refuse to refund my money. (Even though I didn’t stay, and was told I would get refunded) Stay away from this place"

"I booked a room at this hotel at the last minute for a place to stay for Voodoo Fest. Townhouse New Orleans East was significantly cheaper than all the other options available. With time and options running out, I booked a room here. Upon arriving, the outside of the building was clean and welcoming, unlike other hotels in New Orleans East. The lobby of the hotel was equally clean and welcoming. The staff members were very kind, friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean and cozy, which was more than I had expected. (I've stayed at various hotels in New Orleans East many times and have rarely left with a good experience.) And the beds here were SO SO comfortable (especially after being on your feet all day). It felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. During check-out the next morning, the gentleman at front desk remembered me and asked how my visit was. I appreciate recognition and genuine care. I highly recommend Townhouse New Orleans East. Great price, clean and safe hotel, and wonderful employees. I definitely plan to book with them in the future."

"The carpet surrounding the bathroom was wet. The woodwork in the bathroom was rotted. The rate included free breakfast but they stopped offering breakfast a couple weeks before we checked in and didn't say anything or offer reduced rate. Our neighbor had no hot water and and they weren't offered a different room."
