"I personally love the location. Walking to Magazine st is much better than Bourbon. But getting good workers must be hard. The staff just don’t seem to take their job seriously. Food for breakfast was a joke. Used to be better. Rooms were dirty and needed tons of thinhs fixed."
"BUGS ARE FREE HERE! I checked into this hotel last night. The room had a small bug in the bathroom. I got rid of it. BUT THIS MORNING THERE WAS MORE! I called the front desk and the young lady was nonchalant and appeared to not believe me. So I took a picture. When maintenance came, he was also NONCHALANT “we’ll see where they move you to they (front desk) will call you”. They called and asked me to come down to the desk. When I got there she was very nonchalant again no apology no NOTHING!!! She gave me the new key and when I asked her has this occurred before she stated “ooooh no!” Trying to imply I brought the bugs with me and I want something free. I AM NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. And just in case you don’t believe me either here is a picture of Hampton’s extra guest."
"No Way! We were in town during the Sugar bowl. Stay closer to the French Quarter, or out in the suburbs. This hotel is in a residential neighborhood, not close to anything. If you're thinking of riding the Trolley on St, Charles - good luck. It's crowded and stops way too often. The hotel is overpriced, dated, dirty and the rooms are too small. You have to step outside your room to change your mind. I'm a Diamond Hilton member and I travel for business too. Since COVID 80% of the hotels I used to stay in have cleanliness issues. I'm talking other peoples hair in the bathroom and bedding, stains in the tub, faulty showerheads and mold in the bathroom caulk. This bathroom was tiny, gross and checks all the other boxes too. Then there's breakfast. Mrs. Molasses that runs the food service and her merry elves are incompetent. I realize things were busy with the Sugar bowl in town, but they knew all this in advance and still couldn't figure out the inventory and workflow. Duh. They ran out of food every morning we were there and it took 20 min to re-supply. Then you'd get biscuits, but no gravy, eggs, but no OJ - one morning the biscuits were frozen in the middle, etc... What happens for Mardi Gras? There will be 10 times the people in town for that event, over the Sugar Bowl. This can't be their first rodeo! I realize the service industry continues to suffer from labor shortages since COVID; however, there are hotels (Hilton, Marriott, etc...) out there that succeed at providing awesome customer service. This isn't one of them!"
"The hotel is in such a nice location for visiting New Orleans. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but close enough for a quick drive. Easy and cheaper parking than many other hotels in the area. The staff is so friendly! The rooms are cleaned very well and the bath tubs are huge. Complimentary breakfast is always a win when you’re in a hurry out the door in the mornings. Highly recommend staying at this Hampton inn."
"We really enjoyed our 6 day stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is in a safe area and the location is great with the St. Charles streetcar just across the street. The facility is well maintained, clean, and well laid out with easy access to parking in the back. The complimentary breakfast has something available for everyone and fully stocked during the breakfast hours. We upgraded to a king suite and had a spacious room that faced St. Charles Ave. Even though there is a lot of traffic and the street car regularly runs by, it was quiet. This was a nice retreat after a day of touring."
