"By far the creepiest place we ever stayed. The 2 ladies in the front desk staff (Christina and Christina) are the best. The rooms are super cozy and clean. We stayed in 114 with balcony facing the quarter. And it was perfect ,all night we felt like someone was here in the room. And we even had EMF meters going off and it even stormed like it was the end of the world. Crazy St. Patrick's weekend. Will come back"
"Room was ok, WiFi very weak to non-existent. Could be a location quirk. I was swapped to 1, from an upstairs room. The stairs were a bit much for my ragged knees. Staff noticed and offered the swap. The original room was spacious, with a balcony. Location is very nice, away from the crazy end of the French Quarter, but still reasonable close. Tram stops at the end of Ursalines, so that's handy for getting around. You will have to park at least a few blocks away at some lot or another, modest extra expense."
"We were given a "courtyard room" B1. It was a King size bed that had seen better days. One side was literally broken and compressed which squeaked every time you sat much less rolled over in the bed. It was so hard my shoulder hurt and could not get decent sleep. The bathroom had a leak so the floor remained wet and we had to place towels to keep from getting our feet wet. The owners were contacted and "thanked us for the heads up" but did not fix the issue while we were there. TV did not work, cell phone service was sketchy in the room and NO it was not haunted. The only ghost we saw was the figurine going into the bathroom. Pic included for your pleasure. The door to enter was a locked gate that did not lock so unsafe and anyone could walk into this area. Good point was location as close to everything and the owner was pleasant and allowed us a later check out time than stated. BTW, check out is 10am not 11am as shown on GOOGLE. Based on overall experience, this hotel is overpriced and we did end up staying in two other places that were nicer and less money."
"It was so cool. In hindsight I wish I would have booked one of the nicer rooms towards the back cause the little hideaway side room I had didn't have the nicest bathroom (especially compared to my friend who had one of the back rooms and such a nice shower). The bathroom door didn't shut all the time as there is no handle, only a small hook. The bed was not super comfortable and it creaked when you sat on it. And being right by the walkway (it's attached to this little alley) caused all the noise/drunk people loudly talking as they walked by to echo into the room. Never got to actually meet the staff but the lady on the phone was very nice. Overall, it was a once in a lifetime experience and really cool. And I think we were visited by Maime (the original owner of the hotel) as our bathroom light flickered a bunch but only at night time, and after looking it up, that's apparently how you can tell she's there. Like it never happened during the day or the next morning, only later at night. And when I finally turned the TV off to sleep, I swear a shadow came from the small closet (that just has a curtain for a door) and came next to me in bed and I got too scared and turned the TV back on, but isn't that the point of a haunted hotel :P"
"Ginger is a wonderful host and an absolute life saver! We booked a place claiming to be "The Haunted Hotel" because we were wanting to stay here. When we arrived we figured out is wasn't the same place. The other place had no A/C and the room was dirty. Ginger was so amazing and saved a room for us here in case the other one didn't work out. We immediately came back here and we're so glad we did! Ginger showed us around the hotel. It's very clean. The A/C works awesome. The TV was bigger than majority of hotels I've stayed at in the past. We come to New Orleans periodically and we will definitely be coming back here to stay. It's in a super convenient and quiet area. Located close to a lot of art galleries and cute boutiques."
