"I highly recommend Cats in the City. I am very pleased with the tandem grooming that my elderly cat received at their Powell location. They are the only groomers I will use now. The team there is wonderful and I felt confident that my cat, who has health concerns, was in good hands. Master Groomer and Co-founder, Dan is highly skilled, knowledgeable, gentle, kind and compassionate. Dan, along with his lead grooming Assistant, Phil did an amazing job deshedding (removing mats), paw pad and nail trimming, and bathing and hydrating his coat. My cat has never looked better and he feels better too. I know all of this supports his health. He received such loving care from everyone there and made new friends. He had a happy, spa experience there. Notes from the Groom are also included, giving detailed descriptions of the grooming. I’m grateful for Cats in the City."

"Cats in the city did a great job grooming my very furry cat following a recent episode involving soot. It’s expensive, but I think we can all imagine how difficult grooming and bathing a cat, without trauma to all involved, really is. Attached is a photo of the amount of fur combed out of our medium-haired cat today! I feel so much better knowing every last bit of sooty residue is gone from his coat."

"Can't recommend this place enough. We have a wonderful extra large and strong cat whose prone to matting, and they take care of him for grooming every year. He always comes out feeling so much better. I don't know how they work their magic, but am so happy they're here. We also had to board our kitties for a few days when we had a houseguest with bad allergies and our kitties were well taken care of in their own private room. We also scored an amazing XXXL litter box from their shop on Powell for a great price. Great place run by people who really know and love cats."

"Absolutely terrible place. After reading the reviews and talking to them on the phone I decided to take a precious rag doll in for just a trim. I came back to her being practically shaved and with a lion cut. I was clear on my desired services and they did the complete opposite. Told me they will get it better next time so now my cat has to walk around looking like a rat. They did not wash her, she came back and wasn’t herself at all. So I’m guessing they doped her up. 10/10 would not recommend. They do not listen and do whatever they please and have zero accountability after the fact. They wouldn’t let me see the car until I paid. They gave me up charges that weren’t discussed when I dropped the cat off. If you care about your cat DO NOT take it here."
