"The hotel is one of the worst experiences ever. It started at the lobby with rude staff. But when we got to the room, it was worse. It stank of pot and had a literal poop stain on the toilet lid. Candy left behind on the furniture, stains on the walls, curtains. The bed was shabby and worn through, the room wallpaper was peeling off. Enough not to just not come back here, but to avoid all holiday inn properties forever."
"Room cleanliness was questionable. There was a ring in the toilet that made it was very obvious it hadn't been cleaned for several weeks at least. There was also a half empty mini bottle of lotion displayed to be used, that didn't match the Dove branding of the large bottles they had in the room. It is like another guest left it and the staff chose to display it for future use. The rest of the room looked clean, but something as obvious as a dirty toilet makes you question the cleanliness of everything else. Booking fees: Not related to the star rating I gave, but a heads up on booking fees if you are traveling with more than two people. I booked a 2 queen bed standard room for 3 people at this hotel and was charged $10 for an extra occupant fee since apparently the standard is 2 (maybe this is a Washington thing?). Even though I was charged $10 extra there were still only 2 towels in the room, so I'm not sure what the $10 paid for. App/Website Booking: I requested on the app to have a bottom floor room close to an entrance or as second choice, a room close to an elevator. I received a 2nd floor room at the very end of the hallway, as far away from the elevator as you can get. There was no acknowledgment made of the request at all at check in and I was too exhausted from our travels to try to get it changed. Maybe this is an IHG app issue not communicating info to the hotel, but IHG corporate or the hotel should look into this to see where the disconnect is."
"We always book at the Holiday Inn Express when we are able to. This was definitely a more run down one. Staff was friendly. When we arrived they had sold our room but were able to upgrade us. We got locked out of our room because the batteries in our door died. Good breakfast that is standard for this chain."
"Good location near the interstate but shielded by big conifer trees, so not too noisy. Helpful people on the front desk and a comfortable room. We were there 2 nights and Sunday morning breakfast was uncomfortably busy. There are not that many tables for breakfast and the whole area is quite small. Parking was fine though the parking lot shared with the Candlewood Suites next door is relatively small too. Dining in walking distance was handy"
"I travel for work and normally stay with IHG or Hilton. This night I opted for this IHG location. Location is great right off the freeway, road can be heard from the room but that's no issue as I can't stand the silence. Staff was absolutely wonderful and immediately got me my keys smile and all. My issue is with the cleanliness of the room. First I walk in and kill a big ol spider, after inspecting the corners of the room I can tell he has been here for a minute making webs. As I then sit down to enjoy my late night meal, I realize I am stepping on toe nails all over the ground so clearly no one has vacuumed the floor which was extremely needed. It wasn't just one small toe nail, someone went to town on all their toe nails and left them on the floor. (If you do this personally you are disgusting, clip them in a trash can, its not that difficult) As I crawl into bed I find a very long thick black hair under the covers. After examining the top cover of the bed I find dried crusty food like it hasn't been washed. As I looked in the bathroom, hairs also found in and around the bathtub. Not to a hotel standard on the cleanliness at all."
