"Might have to make staying at the Thornewood a yearly activity. Corey was accommodating and kind when checking us into our room. The ambiance is fantastic, you really do feel like you’re on the other side of a movie screen. Every view out the stained glass windows are magnificent. The space was neat which we appreciated and there are plenty of spots near to grab a bite."

"A very magical experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable memory. Yes, they are minimally staffed, but honestly that added to the charm - we literally had the keys to the castle, and coming back at night and unlocking that door and stepping in to the empty hall really made it feel like it was yours for the night. The staff were very accommodating and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we could need to ensure we had the best stay. This place just exudes charm, walking from room to room and admiring all of the details that went into crafting this manor was amazing. The bedrooms are separated enough that you don't really ever hear anyone else, it really feels like your own private medieval getaway. This is certainly not the holiday inn express or the Marriott, and I'm glad. The house shows its age, which I would expect from anything that's over 100 years old, it adds a lived in charm that really feels like you've stepped back in time, and not just another sterile, curated copycat hotel. This is a truly one of a kind experience that I highly recommend you try out."

"This place is absolutely stunning! We came because I'm in town for business and it's where Rose Red was partially filmed. It doesn't disappoint. There is a large beautiful dining room to have your meals in and the room is gorgeous. You can stroll through the gardens during the day and at night and there is a gorgeous view of the lake. It's such a beautiful place to walk around. There's also a game room and a piano. There was a copy of rose red in our room which I absolutely loved! I think you will like this place whether or not you are a Stephen king fan because it's absolutely stunning. I haven't seen any ghosts yet, but I have another night here so I'm hopeful! I highly recommend a trip to Thornewood castle if you get the chance!"
