"After two winters of very cold temperatures and multiple power outages for multiple days we decided to switch from burning wood in our two fireplaces to gas inserts, one for each fireplace. OMG, what a difference they have made! We made an appointment to go to the NW Natural Showroom after talking to Suzie Vail there and providing her with the information she needed to show us the units that work for us. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Best decision we have made in a long while. No more polluting the air with the woodsmoke smell, not to mention the inside of the house. No more ash and wood debris to clean up. Just clean, dry, odorless, efficient heat that radiates through the house. First time I've been warm in months! We have a gas furnace, but it couldn't keep up with the cold temps when all the heat is escaping up the open fireplace chimneys. With the inserts, vent hoses and insulating material plugging the fireplace and chimneys the house is warmer. The furnace does not work in a power outage, the inserts DO. Enjoying a gas fire in either or both of the inserts really makes the house comfortable and cozy. They are beautiful to look at, the fires look real and it feels so soothing. Our dog loves them! If you are thinking about getting a gas fireplace insert, stop thinking and call NW Natural. They make it easy and you will not regret making the switch."
