Reviews of Lake Mendocino Recreational Area
"The east side of the lake is the better side to hike. The west side is good too, but not as scenic or remote. Since the water level is high, at the moment, the east side of the lake is accessible by walking south over the dam. The other way is by driving to the end of Deerwood Road. There is an old sheep barn on the east side of the lack. Well preserved given its age and lack of maintenance."
