Grand Central

"Do not live here. I've been living here since September and our on-floor washing machines (both of them) have been broken for the past two months, need to go to another floor to do laundry. In the past 8 days, the water has also been shut off from 9am to 12pm for 3 of those days making it terribly inconvenient. It is definitely not worth the price, for a higher end apartment, it's too expensive, doesn't have good management, and the main thing: it's super small. Save yourself some money and look for cheaper apartments in the area, you'll thank yourself."

"I had the pleasure of calling Grand Central my home for the past two years, and it has been an exceptional experience. The staff at Grand Central are nothing short of amazing, with a special shoutout to Evan, the current manager. Evan went above and beyond to make our time there comfortable and enjoyable, both during our stay and even after we left. One of the standout features of Grand Central is its remarkable maintenance team. They are simply unbelievable! No matter what issue arose during our time there, it was always swiftly and efficiently resolved, on the same day no less. The apartment complex itself is a haven of comfort and convenience. The cozy ambiance is accentuated by the presence of a study room complete with a fireplace – perfect for those chilly study nights. Additionally, the on-site cafe is a wonderful amenity that adds to the overall charm of Grand Central. What sets Grand Central apart is their genuine care for their tenants. They were constantly giving back to us with thoughtful gestures like providing snacks and coffee coupons. During the stress-filled finals week, they went the extra mile by laying out breakfast every day to ensure that everyone had the fuel they needed to succeed. This level of care truly makes you feel like part of a community that looks out for one another. Lastly the location can’t be beat, I would literally roll out of bed into class every morning, which especially came in handy when Madison winter came around."

"I live at Grand Central this year, and previously lived at X01. Both of the apartments and LZ Management overall are nothing but the best. The maintenance is quick with every request, the management team is always in office and is willing to help with anything and everything. The amenities are amazing too!! They have great activities for their tenants from ice cream trucks to dogs during every finals week! I have never lived in a place in Madison that feels more like home. 10/10 recommend to everyone looking for an amazing home in Madison:)"

"Yeah, the place isn’t infested with bugs, yeah it is pretty well furnished and safe. But you should expect that at the minimum when spending 1250+ a month. Not to mention they make you pay extra for washers and dryers that don’t even work properly. Penny pinching people like those who run this building are why the living expenses in this town are obscene. Don’t feed them your money, this place isn’t worth it. I will say, the employees are amazing and they deserve more money. Pay them. They do their jobs well."

"Grand Central is THE place to live. I lived here during my sophomore year and it was the best renting experience I have ever had. The maintenance team is amazingly kind and fast and always willing to help. Management is attentive, caring, and great to work with. You can tell that they care about their residents. I wish I had renewed."
