"The only cons here I could come up with is the free wifi. You have to get your own if you want to play video games. Other than that, it has pretty spacious room comparing to the price, the staffs are pretty nice and react promptly to the emails in general. In terms of the trash room, you have to count on your neighbors but the trash room on my floor was generally clean."
"Pros: 1. Pretty spacious. 2. Free outside parking. 3. Close to grocery stores (Target, Pick n Save, etc.). 4. People are nice in the office. Cons: 1. The apartment advertises to offer free Wifi. I've lived in a few places around Madison with free Wifi, but this place has the worst one that is both slow and disconnects every 30-40 minutes. 2. You won't have hot water running after around 7PM during the Winter. You would either have to take showers with cold water in the everning or wait till the next Morning. Update: Cold water in the Winter is not a problem anymore."
"No hot water in winter! Can anyone imagine that? It has been at least a week that I have no hot water to take a shower from 8 to 12 every night. I submitted a maintain notice, and they just replied that hot water is under maintenance and nothing has changed. Still no hot water!!! Terrible service."
"This apartment is located on two bus stops, 15/56/57 routes which takes you to campus quickly and 2/10 which takes you there a bit longer. And the apartments are both big and cheap however, they is crappy from the inside. Everything is OLD. But I mean, you get used to it. My big problem is with the landlord. Pam, at start, was very friendly and helpful, but ended up charging us 400$ for absolutely nothing. When I first signed the lease and saw the apartment, she pointed out that there were burn marks on kitchen tiles, and she said that she has acknowledged it and that it isn't even necessary to note it on the sheet she gives you. Anyways, after I left the apartment she charged us 200$ for the tiles, and although I have emailed her about it, she said that they were brand new! THE KITCHEN TILES WERE DISGUSTING, matter of fact, the countertops and the cabinets were all disgusting and smelled, but I really didn't feel like making a fuss and went on with life. The tiles were so bad that we never walked barefoot into the kitchen. And after suffering for a full year, Pam ended up charging us for the tiles. Anyways I asked her to show me documentation that proves when the tiles were last change and she stopped responding. She also made us pay for cleaning charges which was stupid because we returned the apartment in a better condition (after 4 days of cleaning). The other lady, however, is even worse. She is very rude. Cant really explain this one but trust me on this. Overall, don't expect much. The prices are low but the quality is really bad and the office people are terrible. I would recommend one of the neighboring apartments."
"Worst apartment I have ever chosen. No stable hot water at night (after 8 pm) for shower in my apartment since I moved in 8 months ago. Reported this problem countless times, but did not work at all. The maintenance guy either came in daytime, leaving a note of "water is hot", or came after receiving emergency calls at night, saying "everything looks normal. Don't know what's the problem". During the past 8 months, apart from the hot water thing, I have experienced the dishwasher and refrigerator in my apartment did not work (have to throw away all my food), the washer in the laundry and the boiler did not work. You have much more better choices along Sheboygan Ave. Just think twice before you choose your apartment."
