"Hello all. Overall, for the current pricing and amenities in North County close to Carlsbad, Oceanside, in Vista's prime area, and not too far from San Diego and the Greater Los Angeles area, landscaping of the community, this apartment complex is decent especially if you got in at a good price point. Anything even newer or more luxurious will cost you more, just do some thorough research. If you follow all the rules, want to live nicely, and care about living in a tidy way, one can do that here well. Yes, the parking situation is strict, but there are spaces for guests during the day and weekends, yet it may not always be as close as you'd like. The management and maintenance service have been nice to me overall since I've moved here (I though, have seen some turnover in staffing), maybe some of the staff could be a little better in friendliness and welcoming, be better knowledgeable, the gym maybe should have a treadmill, the grills and all better maintained and used nicely by people who live her, etc. I do at times dislike the gardening services blowing leaves and all too often, noise (more less now since they cut the tree leaves), and at times it can create dust and more inside the homes, but again if you are wise, vacuum, and keep the apartments clean it isn't an issue. I haven't had issues with infestations, mold, or anything of that nature, but if one does, contact maintenance ASAP, follow the rules, stay on the issues, pay rent timely, etc."
"Worst people I have ever rented from. Most of the staff who work here are totally inept or rude. (An exception for a couple polite employees!) A couple days ago, a maintenance man walked up to my apartment to check the fire alarms, but kept knocking loudly and ringing the doorbell after I'd asked him to wait a minute while I put clothes on. Then as he was leaving, says "you have another pot head here" to the person he was with.. Okay? -_- Rent has skyrocketed in just a few years of living here, yet the quality of this place has significantly declined as well. This place used to have grass, but they replaced it for ugly mulch to save money. Interesting considering they keep raising rent. Our car has been stolen from twice in two weeks, and our clothes were stolen from the laundry room on an occasion. There is no camera in the laundry room for some ungodly reason, and they are very transparent about how loss of items is not their problem. In the weeks that our car was being stolen from, they never submitted a police report, and they never even sent an email to warn the residents of a thief. Actually, that's not totally true. They DID shortly after that send out an email threatening a single resident for stealing a *dumbbell* from THEIR office, but no comment on the car break-ins. Mold grows in every bathroom here because there isn't proper ventilation. They increased prices on things as small as the soda machine just to milk extra money from their already financially struggling residents. And you just know some rich generational hand-me-down is pocketing all the money that we pay rent for, all the while cutting corners for their residents in an attempt to pocket more money for themselves. This place is a façade. It looks pretty from the outside (AT BEST), but that's just a trick to get you to rent a place. Once you're here, you realize how horrible it is here. Do not rent from these people."
"My second car was towed 2 times. first time yeah it was kind of our fault cause the temp pass expired. But the 2nd time the temp pass fell on the seat and they still towed it. Complained that i should have a sticker making sure a paper stays on window is crazy. both times cost over $400 to get out. the office did not care at all. they had our lic plate so don't know why they could have verified we had a permit to park there."
"Updated Review 1- The Place 2- The Employees 3- Parking 4- Price 1. The place has amazing scenery (specifically my apartment) and really good amenities. You are surrounded by gorgeous vegetation that makes you feel nestled at home. My wife (a foreigner) describes it as resort to her friends back home. During the long summer days you can cool off by taking a dip into the beautiful pool, then proceed to make lunch or dinner at one of the many grills available by the patio area. As the sun sets you can find yourself absorbed into one of the many lounge areas and let the last of the suns rays soak into your skin and to finish it off. You can take a dip into the jacuzzi which is always a decent temperature. And if that isnt your thing there is always the tennis court available to hash out a game between your friends or family. While I personally have never used it there is an entertainment room that is available which you could use for a variety or events or even just watch the latest flicks with your friends and family. Inside this building there is also a common area kitchen to provide cooking and storage for any food related needs of your event. Perhaps you would prefer to get away from other people well the included mini dog park is the perfect place you and your furry friend to spend quality time together. Overall you probably cant beat the scenery the Villas have to offer. 2. Most of the employees are superb and are very enjoyable to interact with. From the maintenance guys to the three lovely ladies that work in the office. They are friendly, professional and happy to assist you. I cant recommend them enough. However I have had a very negative interactions with the manager. Maybe she isnt a bad person or anything but I am extremely irritated with how she handled our interactions. First interaction was I came in to report some mold I found in the apartment. Said they would contact me when the had an availability. Never did. Since my last review they did fix the problem and the maintenance guy who did fix it was super helpful and friendly. Second interaction was I came home from work after a 12 hour work day (I am in the military.) To find the brightest neon orange car I have ever seen parked in my assigned spot. I was tired and figured it was probably just someone who was a guest and didnt know the rules, so I parked in an open space. The next few days I had ridden into work with a friend and when the weekend came around I went to go get my car and it was gone. Come to find out that it had been towed. The didnt give me any type of warning to move my car and they didnt even notify me when they did tow my car. So i ended up having to pay $600+ to get my car back. When I went to go talk to the manager about this, and she rather than say sorry there is nothing we can do about it or something like that. Very rudely told me that it was my fault and made it sound like she thought I was an idiot for bringing it up to her. She said that I should have know to call the towing company on the car that was in my spot. Like I knew that was my responsibility or something (sarcastic.) 3. The parking rules seriously need to be updated. A paying client should not be punished before that of some random guest. Very, very limited parking as well. Dont plan to have more than a couple guests over at a time. They need to have some kind of warning system for paying clients as well that might get their cars towed. I can understand cars without permits but not cars that are registered with the complex. 4. Overall the price is towards the higher side however the neighborhood is really nice and safe and is a very beautiful location. However the parking situation is not worth the price so until they do something about this it is not worth having to pay almost half of an entire months rent just on towing. I pay $1680 for reference and probably 1700 to 1800 in total including utilities."
"You guys HAVE to do something about the parking situation. I shouldn’t ever have to walk five minutes to get to my car. Sometimes I have to park my car across the street at the shopping center because you guys don’t supply enough spots for your renters/guests. Thinking about getting a spot after people get out of work or on weekends? FORGET ABOUT IT. You’ll never find one. I wish management would really come up with a solution to this because right now this complex is not practical to live in. Unless you like parking your car far from your doorstep. I’m especially disappointed how management also has that tow company on the fastest speed dial you could imagine. No wonder your staff calls the parking police so much, because there’s no spots! Anything that gets a car out of its spot and into a tow yard is the most ideal situation in the eyes of management. But the fact is you wouldn’t have to play police if you guys actually had enough spots on BOTH sides of this complex. Please please help fix this issue. While it may seem unimportant to staff, just think about how all the renters feel who have to park their car all the way on the other side of the complex or the renters who can’t even find a place to park their cars at all. It’s very frustrating and it’s just constant pent up frustration that renters will always continue to have towards management as long as we don’t have enough proper places to park out vehicles."
