Reviews
"My auntie lives in this building and it's really nice. The front desk employees are welcoming and the foyer has comfy seats and a fireplace =) the elevators have key fobs before boarding them so you dont have to select floors when inside it."
"I rarely write any reviews, but in this case I really wanted to share my experience after living in this beautiful apartment building & community for more than 3 months. I'm really happy and proud to call Avery 450 home. I really like the interiors, very thoughtful details in my apartment, brand new and high end appliances, AC (which is very rare for the Bay Area), kitchen cabinets (this list can go on and on) and I don't even mention a very beautiful lobby. Unlike other reviews, my experience with leasing staff was phenomenal, Jordan was really supportive along the process. I really enjoy the amenities (both indoor pool and the fitness center with peloton bikes), as well as live music performances (social distanced) downstairs. Also, staff is super friendly! Year 3 update: Since traffic started to pick-up (post-pandemic), it is becoming unbearable in the morning and during 5-6 pm rush over (especially if your windows face the Clementina or the ramp that gets off the Bay bridge; or 1st street) - you will definitely hear the truck breaks and horns basically non-stop. Also, with increasing homelessness in the area, the amount of noise (people screaming) is also increasing. Unfortunately, some of the windows are single pane and they do not really help much. Besides that, everything else is great."
"After living here for over 3 years, here’s what I think. The building itself is top-notch. The management, not so much. Since they changed the building manager, everything went downhill IMHO. Poor facilities management, amenities have never been the same since. There’s so many issues that could be fixed. The steam rooms have been having drain problems for god-knows-how-long, a fish could literally swim on the floor while you’re using the rooms. One of the elevators has been out of order for over a week. The printer keeps running out of ink. The Nespresso machine was always leaking and it has stopped working for at least a week now, and the list goes on. Scheduled maintenance is never be on time. I requested for my bathroom lights to be fixed 3 days ago and it hasn’t been fixed yet. HVAC in my unit occasionally smells really bad for no reason. When you’re paying at this price, you would expect more than this."
"Updated my rating after living 10 month: The concierge and maintenance team is really friendly and the rating is for them. Building is new and has top notch amenity. The leasing office is extremely unresponsive and never returning the call or email although I have tried multiple times to reach out to discuss the questions about the lease renewal. I feel the apartment only provides the services to acquire the new tenants but not to retain the existing tenants. And the team is lacking the basic communication skills which should be the minimal bar for the so called luxury apartment. If you have the high expectation of the communications, rent elsewhere."
"Living at the Avery is comparable to living in a 5-star hotel: The building itself has a sexy vibe to it, the amenities are first class, and the units themselves have high-end connected appliances and details that you would only expect in a custom-built home. What my wife and I have enjoyed most about living here, though, is the staff (concierge / managerial / event / maintenance). Not only does the staff offer white glove service, but they are incredibly knowledgable and helpful, and aim to make sure you feel safe and taken care of - which is especially important in times like these. A couple of things that the Avery has offered to its residents, which has made quarantine more bearable, is organized grocery delivery and occasional treats like cookies and cakes from local businesses that help support the local economy. It's been a wonderful experience living here, and we are so thankful to the Avery staff for always making it feel like home."
