"Sunny gave a fabulous welcome on arrival! The room was dated but relatively clean. It was difficult to fall asleep the first night as you could hear every step the person above us was taking. The yogurt offered for breakfast was outdated. The clencher was the toilet. We reported it was not working at 9am and left for the entire day. Upon return we were told it was not yet fixed. We asked for a refund for the second night, and promptly left. We come often to the area to visit our grandkids, but will not stay there again."

"Reply to the "Response from the owner": Here one can see the problem, the people here don't listen/read but conflate the issues. I didn't complain about the substance of the answers, but the manner and the way the person answered my questions - specifically the disrespectful mannerism and fragmented answers. Treating customers with courtesy and respect is essential to any service business and your failing in the basics were what cause the negative review, not the whatever policy you tried to explain. Think about it, please! Original: I would never come to this hotel again because the front desk lady (older white female) was rude and discriminating. I drove by in my way back to LA from Seattle and in need of a room to rest. I was in person and I was asking the availability and the possibility of early check-in. She gave confusing fragmented answers with an impatient tone. It is absolutely uncalled for and for LOL there is a whole lot of availabilities everywhere. For that attitude, I would even fathomed that she is the owner. Good, so I will never give you my business."

"This room was absolutely gross. A dead bed bug on the bathroom counter, pubic hairs in the sheets and in the bathtub. Mold in the bathtub grout. The bed doesn’t even have a box spring , but metal cot legs. Furniture very outdated. I refused to stay here and reception was nice and apologetic about it. She came with me to the room and took pictures of the issues. I was told me the owner would refund me in the morning at 5am and that never happened. This is a one star hotel in my opinion and I wouldn’t stay here."

"My parents felt safe staying there. They liked the way it was as far as cleanliness. Super simple To reserve a room over the phone, my parents also felt very Comfortable talking to the front desk. Is mom and pops said they were kind Great place to stay for parents."

"Very nice place. The motel appeared to be well organized, well run and well maintained in every way. The rooms were clean and nice, and the hotel area was also characterized by good order and tidiness. I found it positive that there was a proper fridge in the room, at the right height (in addition to better space, you don’t have to lay down on the floor every time you need to get something in there). The pool area also appeared inviting and nice. In addition, the staff were both friendly and helpful. There were also laundry facilities at the hotel, which is always an advantage. This also worked great. It can also be mentioned that Caldwell Park is just a short walk away. After a long drive, it can be nice to stroll around the park area and the paths along the Sacramento River. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to check out the breakfast (but usually my expectations when it comes to "breakfast" at US motels are very low). This is a place I would recommend, and I would happily return to this Wyndham motel in Redding."
