"Obviously fake reviews. Almost bewildered. We had an issue at our house and had to put our son up locally until it was dealt with. Made a reservation. Came to pay and the person working the front desk required a cash deposit - no credit card - because he was local. Went on about how we might trash the room or steal the TV. Almost was beyond belief. We went ahead and put him at up at the Red Lion. No cash deposit. Treated us like humans."
"This property is in desperate need of a remodel. Chipped paint on the walls, the mattress should absolutely be replaced, to say it was extremely uncomfortable is putting it nicely. And the awful smell. You couldn't give me enough money to EVER stay at this property again. Oh yeah and the "breakfast " they advertise is a banana and a yogurt. Stay away from this hotel!!"
"Terrible place, decent front desk staff. How the hell does this place earn 3.5 stars? Room smelled awful, beds were made of bricks or something. I don't know what the inside of the "air conditioner" looked like but I bet it looked like a lint trap from a laundry mat in the poorest part of San Francisco. It blew air that leaves you with a 48 hour migraine. I suggest spending a little more money if you just Have to visit the taint of Hades. Good luck with that."
"Surprisingly great! The most friendly front desk I have experienced in a long time. Thank you for giving us a great feeling of being welcome and valued. This proved that you don't need a five star hotel for a great stay. Rooms were also big and clean. Your perfect place and location for trips to Lassen National Park. Would love to come back."
"I stayed here for one night just so I can get rest after driving for so far. They thankfully had a room for me and my dog. Angela was very kind to me and a very sweet lady. The beds were SUPER comfy and I loved sleeping. The breakfast was just banana, yogurt, oatmeal, or granola bar so I didn't eat there. They also have a pool but I didn't swim there. Super fair price for the location. Great Mexican food right across the street! Felt very safe."
